There are going to be some NPC's that the PC will at least be potentially dealing with for a long time. These NPC's will have to be able to convincingly portray their cover for a long time. This will probably be a fairly intrigue heavy game. I expect suspicious PC's with high skills and magical investigation. So they will have to seem to have enough of the abilities to be convincing.
1) I want to have an evil fiendish creature that manages to portray a paladin of about 5th-6th level.
2) A wizard that pretends to be a Dragon Disciple sorcerer of around 6th-8th level.
3) A cleric (warpriest or inquisitor would also work) posing as an arcanist of about 8th to 10th level.
Any ideas how to best go about this?

1. is easy to understand
2. why is a wizard pretending to be a sorcerer. Is he pretending to be a class or a specific person?
3. like number 2...
Why are these characters doing these things? Remember most people don't see other people as classes but as people who may or may not be referenced by a job or a particular social station they hold. For example, the Duke is more known for being a Duke than for being a 6th level wizard. His noble status has more impact on society than his class.

1) Trying to lead an entire order into taking the wrong side in a conflict.
2) City is ruled by a moderately large cabal of dragon disciples.
3) Theocracy only allows the worship of one god and has a serious test to find imposters. But a church wants a trusted member to find out if the arcane guild/school is plotting against them (I suppose he could be pretending to be a wizard or magus instead if that is easier).

So the idea is sound, let's see what I can come up with.
1) Use a Succubi or similar Fiend, with the ability to move unseen & charm entities that might find out their true nature.
2) Ring of Alter self, or if you wish to cheat a bit: a changling wizard. (using illusions/enhancing spells to manage many of the feats of a dragon disciple. of coarse it would be best to avoid any dragons or someone with mage sight.)
3) take someone unknown and very new to the church and place a geas on them to become a wizard and learn everything they can about said guild.
The most important thing is misdirection. For instance say the Fiend has a paladin or another individual that is getting too close. Find a way to frame them or blackmail them.. or perhaps just make them 'vanish'. The last option only if the other options are likely to fail, as that would add complications as people will be looking into what happened.

1) .. Undetectable Alignment, cast daily, is also a good option. Very rarely do people cast Detect Good on Paladins. XD
that and 1 level of life oracle for the positive channeling, take selective channeling so he can also seem to lay on hands (be sure not to many crowed around andthen select out anyone but the layed on target.)
it will also allow him to cast a few divine spells, id go with mainly protection from evil as oracle isn't denied the ability to cast good spells.if you play that any evil divine caster is denied casting good spells a really head twister would be weapons against evil as not many might notice that it's not basickly a "good" spell.
look for something to help with holy water (i belive there are faets or magic items\spells that might help) as any serius retual in a church might include sprinkeling that on the prayers.

Wizard would need spell mastery, Amulet of Natural Armor, Belt of Strength
Maybe Still & Silent Spell for the spell dragons breath or maybe make a specialty item (His bonded Amulet perhaps) that grants Dragon Power so you could combine all three giving him a pretty convincing cover till the item is exposed.
Succubi are best for the deception into Paladinhood. Undetectable Alignment, Armor of Gold & Silver illusions of the holy symbol in question on the armor, that way there really is no save against them. If done right the locals could even say they 'saw her' defeat a fiendish monster to add some credit to her (which of course was likely another illusion she killed getting into town to wait for her 'friends' )
