Skill Focus (Disable Device), Deft Hands, and Deific Obedience (Brigh) feats would all be good starters.
Either a Ring of Maniacal Devices or Goggles of Minute Seeing would grant you a +5 competence bonus.
A Belt of Incredible Dexterity would boost the stat behind the skill.
Finally, if you have access to stuff in the Technology Guide, you could get a Skill Chip that grants an enhancement bonus to these checks.
I am sure that there are other options that I have missed.

A quick search provides the following traits:
Collector, Criminal, Fatal Trapper, Gold Finger, Kobold's Neighbor, Local Ties, Nimble Fingers/Keen Mind, Trap Finder, Vagabond Child
A lot of these give a +1 to disable device, and give an option to have it as a class skill (which would give an extra +3 if your current class doesn't have that). Trap finder specifically gives you the rogue class stuff for magical traps, but it is a campaign trait.
You seem to indicate that you are working with an existing character... but additional traits is a feat (and gives 2 new traits). So...yeah.

There are lots of Magic Items that grant Competence Bonuses. you mentioned the Goggles of Minute Seeing, and I think that is the best bargain at 2,500 gp for a +5 Bonus. Adding the Locksmith Special Ability (6,500 gp) to your armor is also great since it lets you transfer your armor's Enhancement Bonus to your Disable Device check. That will stack with Competence Bonuses, and the armor also lets you creates a set of Masterwork Tools at will which will grant a +2 Circumstance Bonus. So +5 Locksmith Armor plus the Goggles could give you a total bonus of +12.
