Recruitment

Hello! It is I, GM Insanity, here to run my first Roll20 game for you!
What i'm looking for is 2-3 consistent players for my CC game. I currently have 2 players with guaranteed spots in my game, one is a Changeling Inquisitor, and the other is a Tiefling Alchemist. I'm looking for good role-players before min/maxers, so i'm hoping to find a balance in the characters i'll be viewing, but now on to the part that you all need to know, the requirements!

  • Rolling for stats, 2d6+6, reroll stats that fall below 10.
  • Third-party content will be allowed on a case by case basis.
  • Crafting is not only allowed, it's encouraged.
  • 2 traits, 1 must be from the campaign.
  • No Evil or Chaotic Neutral.
  • Max starting gold

Now for the more flavorful parts of the story. I'd like a few things from each submission.

  • At least 3 bullet points of interesting things for your character.
  • One living family member.
  • A family heirloom of MWK quality, I'll grant automatic proficiency with it, but please, don't go crazy.

With all that sorted, i'd like to hold the game on a Tuesday or Thursday at 2pm Central time. I'd like to run for at least 3 hours or so, but may occasionally go longer or shorter depending on player RP.

  • dot. Do would you allow a kineticist?

    I would.

awesome. I Love this AP, I'll whip something up.

one other thing. Because I am sure someone will ask, are you allowing sphere's of power?

I'd love to say yes, but it looks rather complicated and confusing, but that may just be because it's my first read of it.

That sounds swell, both days are a good fit for my schedule. I think I'd play a native Ustalavian social climber, class to be determined.

    does this involve voice chat?

My character is the aforesaid changeling with a guaranteed in. She's a Desnan with elven heritage on her father's side.

Velanathera Caltheristal came from Kyonin, near the Tanglebriar.

When she was 113 her hag-mother caught her disguised as an elven youth (alter self), lured her into the woods and knocked her out. Velanathera awoke, her arms tied to the hag's belt, and had the truth of her nature...and the hag's plans explained to her, as the hag dragged her daughter back toward the coven for transformation. Luckily, the hag was a heavy sleeper, and on the first night of the journey Velanathera managed to slip her bonds without awakening her captor and slip away.

Fearing to draw the hag's wrath back to her adoptive family, she returned home only long enough to leave a note with her adoptive parents and gather supplies... then fled to the coast and took a ship across Lake Encarthen...ran into Lorimar in Caliphas, who had many questions about her near brush with a fate worse than death

After finishing her inquisitorial training at a Desnan temple, she had been making a tour of Ustalav's known shrines to Desna (and ensuring they remain uninfested by the forces of evil), when word of the old man's death came.

It can involve voice chat if the group that gets picked votes for it, but i've currently got a vote against voice chat from one of the players.

Through what medium will the game be played if there is a set play time but voice chat may not be utilized?

We'll be using Roll20 for the game.

Hello, I want to place a dot. I am going to read the carrion crown players guide this evening and then decide on what I will play. I just don't know enough of the setting to say anything definitive yet.

Ok I have worked up a story for Trin the dhampir ranger. I look forward to playing with you.

    backstory:
Trin had a different childhood than usual for his kind. When his mother died in childbirth her husband took him in as a final promise to her and raised him as his own doing his best to shield trin from the racial bigotry within his village. Nathan decided to call him trin after his late wife triana. Growing he learned his father’s trade as a woodsman bringing in meat to sell in the village and other markets. Nathan helped trin to make his bow and he spent many a night carving it to just the right length and shape for his preferences. This life continue well into his 30s with Trin growing more and more competent with the bow and his woodcraft with each passing year. However three years ago rumors came into the village that the vampire that had seduced his mother was active once again, praying on villages in the west. Trin decided to leave home and seek venagance for his father. Since then He has wandered the land learning what he can of this particular vampire and all other kinds of undead, helping those that he encouters in trouble whether that be from marauding beasts or bandits, or just need a hand with a broken wagon wheel. He has grown slightly distrustful of humans in his travels since he is no longer under his father’s protective wing but still bears no ill will to them in general.

In your backstory, it would be helpful if you clarified between the vampire (who I presume is supposed to be the bio-dad) and the step/adoptive father (Nathan, his mother's husband.) As written, it appears you refer to both as "father" resulting in some confusion/ambiguity.

Oh, yeah, I just read through it awhile ago, however it isn't to complicated once you forget everything you know about casting in pathfinder.

SoP basically doesn't have "spells" similar to PF spell, more like, magic effects that you learn to empower/use more effectively.

that said, atm I am trying to decide between a psychokineticist/aetherkinecticist or an inquisitor.

Ok I see what you mean. I corrected it in my backstory, I just don't know how to edit the old post. In essence the intention was to seek vengeance on the vampire for my mother who my "father" Nathan knew and loved that he could have a better feeling of closure.

Unfortunately you can't edit posts that are more then one hour old annoying it is.

So, i'll leave this recruitment up till the end of the year, giving everyone ample time to figure out what they'd like to do and create a nice story to go along with that idea.

Hey there folks! Definitely interested in this AP, it looked super neat.

I'm considering, if it is allowed, a Harbinger from the Path of War books. Particularly the Raven Lord one because it'll look fantastic in this kind of setting.

If not, I'll roll something else up. Which speaking off.

    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 = 15
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 3) + 6 = 13
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 = 8
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 = 8
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14

    reroll:
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16

Alrighty, I am happy with that stat block. Let me know what you think what you think at your earliest convenience.

Edit: Grrr, that is what I get for not reading all the way. My schedule is hectic and I'd hate to be selected and not make it. Nevermind my idea, I hope you get someone great for your spots! :D

    I will bite.

    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 = 8
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 5) + 6 = 17
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 6 = 10

    Reroll:
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 = 11
    2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 = 14

With no submissions, i'll just mark this as closed.
