what rogue archetype has the best focus on stealth?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I am making a low level "hunter" (as in it hunts not the hybred class) and I am guna take a 2 level dip in rogue to get Fast Stealth. I can only use paizo's stuff no third party. I skimmed through some that had stealth-ish names. Is there something better then chameleon?

I would suggest you consider going ninja, this would net you fast stealth, the ability to use potions with no failure chance, and you would gain a ki pool of 1 + Cha Mod. This can be spent to add an extra attack, gain a +4 insight bonus to stealth for one round, and gain 20 feet movement speed. Not only is it more diverse but will be far better at lower levels for stealth.

hmm, I will have to see if ninja will fit into the build.

You could also get the extra ninja trick feat to get Vanish as a spell-like ability.

I don't know the build is already really fast. And Evasion seems very nice.

Phantom Thief will get you a 1/2 level bonus to stealth (and many other skills), which is pretty cool if you single-class Rogue, although you'd also have to be OK giving up Sneak Attack. Chameleon or Ninja is probably your best bet for dips.

Archaeologist Bard can cast Invisibility and gets Rogue Talents. Same for the Stygian Slayer but at better combat ability.

You could just play a halfling, and take the racial trait. No dips needed.

unchained rogue you get dex to damage and your sneaky
