Not the Monk archetype, but in general, particularly trip and dirty trick. Am thinking either Brawler or Lore Warden fighter. Would prefer a dex build but I think it costs too much in feats. Race, human or half elf but will look at others.

Am thinking of putting some unchained rogue levels (no more than 3) in the latter build.
What am I not seeing?

I think Brawler is a better choice for this character because there are some enemies which simply cannot be tripped. Martial flexibility means that when you fight those enemies, you can have feats that will help you better face those foes instead of feats which are useless in that particular encounter.

Lore Warden gets insane Combat Maneuver Bonuses. Maybe a dip in Unchained Monk and they can take on everything.
I would either dip in a heavy armor class, or go DEX based. Weapon Finesse works for some maneuvers.
I would stick with the core monk with the maneuver master archetype. Leading your attacks with a flurry of maneuvers dirty trick is pretty sexy. You can even follow the initial trip with the dirty trick in there for a better change to land it.
Also, Lore Warden is Good.

Lore warden X with 4 levels in Unchained Rouge (thug or rake) .
the sheer number of effects you do, with or without a check is insane :
thug 4:
need enforcer, but every attack will have a free shaken that turn into a fear effect + sicken (no check).
Rake 4:
easier free intimidate every attack.
Skulking slayer 4:
every attack = a free dirty trick.
EVERY rogue 4 also add:
-2 AC (-4 vs rogue) + no AOO (rogue talent).
than add:
spear dancer = dazzled
several dirty trick effects.
maybe even a trip.
the lore warden offer a super CMB, but it can work well on a 2 weapon slayer X \ rogue 4
