I wanted to make a thread, too.
Haven't decided who to put on my list, but definitely not Sebastian. I feel like my folding would never be good enough for him.
I'm really good at folding laundry. Not only was I forced to learn this valuable technique from my parental units, but I also worked many years in the family business - laundry and dry cleaners.
Oh yeah! You name it, I can fold it (with assistance, depending on size).
Excellent. Aberzombie is first on the list.
I typically throw my laundry in a basket then in a drawer. Towels occasionally get folded, but usually just used directly from said basket. However, since the birth of my daughter my wife chose to be a stay at home mom and has folded a towel or 2 and put them in the closet. But I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want me on a laundry folding list. Now if you want to start a list of people to sort and do laundry, I'm your man.
Celestial Healer wrote: Excellent. Aberzombie is first on the list. Woohoo!
As a bonus, I also read cleaning labels. More often than not, I even follow them.
I keep a prim and proper folding technique handed down for generations. Nothing is worse than a wrinkled and rumpled appearance and proper folding often means no ironing... Did I mention I don't like ironing.

Oh, I'm a popular companion when I fold laundry.
Really.
Over a decade ago, feeling rather swamped with work to do around the house (taking care of my kids, among other tasks), I found that the only time I could watch TV or videos was while folding laundry.
Years later, after my wife limited the amount of time my kids could watch videos each day, they found a loophole.
KIDS: Can we watch YouTube?
WIFE: No, you used up your video time today.
KIDS: Oh, man! <pause> Wait a minute. Dad's folding laundry right now. I wonder what he's watching?
Fitted sheets are my beyotch. I am their master.
Can I fold with youse guys?
You will be a great addition!
Wow. Who would have thought this thread would be so successful?
Laundry gets stuffed into a shirt.
One shirt holds about a week of laundry.
Easier than baskets.

As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be awesome - because it was going to have me.
I would love to fold laundry with you guys...except I avoid it whenever possible so that may involve some waiting. I'm really good at it though, yay military school... I don't even need a ruler to make things fit specified dimensions.
I hate folding laundry. Doing dishes and cooking is far better. Anyone for sukiyaki?
Ooh, now that does sound better. I'd happily handle dishes for sukiyaki.

I worked in a laundry too, but it was an industrial laundry, so all we did was throw different-coloured bags of flea-ridden/suspiciously stained workwear into big skips, after which everything (including us) got thoroughly steamed.
I iron, but do not fold.
I NEVER FOLD.
I NEVER FOLD!

Folding is pointless and futile.
POINTLESS. FUTILE.
I get enough of that at work!
Nothing personal, but nobody. I've done laundry professionally for 14 years, it would probably be difficult for me to incorporate someone else's folding style into my routine. :P
TOZ cuz hes military so he should be real good at it.

So... your saying we should team up. I do all your hated folding while you do all my hated ironing?
:)
I fold laundry faster than anyone.
Single-handedly.

dumps laundry on the floor.
Prove it! Don't worry, I'm not picky. :-)

Deal.
We can use the sekrit Illuminati tunnel under the Atlantic to pass the items to and from our respective countries, so logistics won't be a problem

You people fold your laundry?

What is this 'sort' you speak of?
If it fits in the washer, you're good.
Right?

Right? No... If you wash a red top or other colored garment with your whites you will end up with pink whites (or whatever color they were washed with).

OK, that explains it.
I think everything I own is jeans and black t-shirts, with work uniforms tossed in.
So blue or black.

I hang up my tshirts because I hate folding stuff. Everything else gets shoved into a drawer or laid over the back of a chair. OH, and I don't make my bed, either. Nyah.
Aranna wrote: Quark Blast wrote: You people fold your laundry? You kind of have to... Unless you only buy clothes which won't wrinkle. They wrinkle in the process of putting them on. So, meh on folding.
Next you'll be telling me to number my socks!

Since my job has me outside getting covered in wind-blown dust and/or spattered mud, depending on the day, a few wrinkles really do not matter.

Socks is easy. Throw out all your socks. Get a bunch of new ones, as many as you need, all identical. Profit.
I'm oddly good at folding fitted sheets. I'd fold laundry with y'all.

It's an amazing time saver!
If you choose to fold your socks, they all match. If you choose to not fold your socks, any two randomly selected socks will match.
Done and done!

I always fold my laundry into non-Euclidean shapes, because once you attract puppies of Tindalos, they can be difficult to get rid of. Thankfully, I have dust bunny of Caerbannog living under the futon.

Where I grew up; if you do laundry together more than twice you're married.
That said; I fold a pretty tight tee thanks to time in the military.
Is anyone around here good at neatly folding fitted sheets? I'm really terrible at this and it frustrates me.
PossibleCabbage wrote: Is anyone around here good at neatly folding fitted sheets? I'm really terrible at this and it frustrates me. Yes, but I charge for my services.
It would be worth paying Aberzombie to fold my fitted sheets and everything else that needs folding. My wife gave up trying to teach me the "proper" way to fold shirts because for some reason I just can't grasp it, so I fold them my own way, if I fold them at all. I generally just put them on hangers in the closet.
But my vote is to share a pizza and beer with AZ if he'd fold my laundry.

I do my best with fitted sheets and then put them in a basket for the dog to lay on.
"I folded the sheets, but the damn dog!"
