Master Spy (Prestige Class) is obsolete?

Advice

With the Vigilante and the Ultimate Intrigue is the Master Spy became obsolete?
There are so many thread on different builds and combinations of class, but very few about this specific prestige class.
Is worth it to role a Master Spy?
Which is the best build of it?
And why there ins't a guide about it on Zenith?
What do you think?

PrCs have been mostly obsolete for a while, with a few named exceptions.

I think the master spy has it's role. The Vigilante fits a Bat Man style character the master spy fits a Jame Bond style character.

The spy master is one of those characters thats only liable to be very strong in a campaign with a lot of intrigue and diplomatic maneuvers.

The art for it in the book is kewl though.

They fill similar, but not identical roles:

The vigilante, because of the way the social talents are structured, is best used in a single (or, at most, two or three) community or location. Basically, a focused specialist in a given city.

The master spy can be more flexible in multiple communities and locations, without being tied to a specific one. They are also able to adopt different identities more easily, without the limitations on Any Guise, Everyman, and Many Guises.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Today PrCs are best used for their original purpose of flavoring NPCs.

Do have any idea of a interesting build for a Master Spy?
