Badger Themed Character

Advice

My current table has been together for around 3 years now(for most of the players). We have been through many sessions and a running joke we have is the horror of BADGERS!!!!! As such I have decided to make a badger themed character. The focus of the build is being the parties tank as we have a desperate need. Debating between 3 builds and would like to hear what the community thinks. Any other builds are welcome

Race: Knoll, Human, or Half Orc
Stats Con>Str>varies by build

Starting level 14
1. Lv2 Barbarian Lv12 Cleric- plan is to use spell perfection and metamagic cost reduction to use quickened heal to rage cycle
2. Lv14 Barbarian- superstitous tree
3. LV8 Barbarian Lv6 Druid- use wildshape to turn into a badger, rage, profit. Heal between fights

Eliminated Options
Rage Prophet, full druid, anything where my combat constitution is below 40

Dm also prohibits multiclassing into more than 2 classes and taking more than 1 prestige class

Badgers?! We don't need no stinking badgers!

Number 3 sounds pretty fun. Also try to find some fungi-themed spells.

Badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger MUSHROOM MUSHROOM

(Check youtube if you don't get that...)

Scarab Sages

And look out for SNAKES! SNAKES! Ohhh, it's a snaaake!!!

Lol. In all seriousness though, druids make pretty good wild shape melee builds, it's odd. I don't think there's a badger shaman archetype, but I bet your GM would let you house rule one. Mostly copy paste from the others.

Badger character as in Mustelidae or this Badger?

Scarab Sages

Badger the Dwarf Ranger from Might & Magic: Clouds of Xeen, that's who Badger!!!

i thought you meant this badger.

The Exchange

Option 3 sounds best to me.

In D&Ds Ravenloft dwarve lykanthrops tend to be werebadgers...

Spell perfection isn't an option at L14. L15 is the minimum. Which is a shame because what I associate with badgers is the immaculately groomed Mr. Badger from some childrens' story, and a cleric, even one which rages, sounds best for that.

On that same association, maybe a skald with the battle scion archetype, or a bloodrager with the enlightened bloodrager archetype?

I would go for a straight barbarian with beast totem and superstitious, possibly with the brutal pugilist archetype, maybe prestiging into rage oracle if you prefer. Brawlers and rangers are also an option as they have some hand-to-hand combat proficiency and animalistic abilities, respectively. A Brawler with the barbarian VMC and the right feats can be a pretty mean badger stylist.

I haven't tried a barbarian/druid, but doesn't rage hurt your spellcasting a lot? At this point I would say that the wild stalker ranger may be a better pick.

To clarify I mean badger as in the animal Honey Badger who doesn't give a F***. Basically the idea is to get a ton of hp and dr

1. Spell Perfection would be my level 15 feat. Domains Rage and Fur
2. Currently my prefered option due to how nice come and get me build is
3. The point of the druid levels is to wild shape into a badger. The spell slots would be used for misc healing and utility

Do love the were badger idea but going to be a trip trying to convince the dm

Wouldn't the Feral Hunter archetype work better for you?

Totemic skald might be a fun way to do this.
