We just need to figure out what is the common theme of trombone, parasite, plastic, thunderhead, wrangle, tension, bow (The one that rhymes with drow), bow (The one that doesn't rhyme with drow), and phantom-powered dreadnought-launching mountains?

He said so here?

If we can figure that out, we will know what the next AP is going to be.

The common theme is pretty obvious to me:

Spoiler:
All these words have both vowels and consonants, yet none of them contain digits.

Scarab Sages

Kind of reminds me of 1996 computer game The Neverhood, actually....

...Paizo makes the Resident Evil Roleplaying System?

I see a G, an A, a L, and a T jumbled in that mess.

I'm a bit disappointed by a serious lack of twenty exclamation points. But I figure that's the misdirection. :-)

Hmmm no digits.... No numbers.... Orcs can't count... Hold of Belkzen. Boom! Riddle solved.

That accounts for everything except the Trombone.

Unlikely. Orcish Skalds play bagpipes ... badly.

Perhaps the answer is in how badly.....

Wait a minute. Bad bagpipe playing means low perform skill. Low perform skill means low charisma. Undead have low charisma. Now if only there was some major nation in the inner sea full of undead...

Au Contraire. Since undead now get bonus HP from CHA instead of CON, the vast majority will have mid to high CHA scores!

I'll suggest Proteans. Even IF they played well, it would make no sense at all in any perceivable way!

Wait . . . You mean Proteans play 12 tone music on the trombone?

What about that steampunk magic-dead land in the SE corner of the map? (name's not coming to me). Seems to me the only place you could find all of those, except maybe the already-done spaceship landing place......

(man, not remembering ANY names tonight!)

Cross posting from the other thread:

So the party starts as cloud-herders, wrangling the clouds and chasing away evil thunderheads infected with parasites their first contact is a bard who uses a bow with the tension of a composite, but he design of a re-curve as a weapon. This bard trumpets out tales as his perform check while bowing at court. His instrument is a plastic vuvuzela.

Trumpet =/= Trombone

My prediction? War of the Runelords. Alaznist vs. Sorshen. Agents of both awaken and start wreaking havoc on Varisia. The final confrontation involves the Oliphaunt of Janderlay, who is clearly involved with trombones somehow (look at that snoot!)

The parasites are the qlippoth allies of Alaznist. The plastic are the faceless stalkers who serve Sorshen (thinking plastic as adjective, not noun). The phantom powered dreadnaught launchers should be obvious.

But is it a phantom powered train?

Unrelated followup question, is monk or brawler the better suited class for suplexing trains?
