Yup, and any enemy smart enough to cast Mirror Image, is going to notice your tactic and ready an action to pop YOU when you close your eyes.

If the Mirror Image caster is a hybrid martial/magic user then there is a good chance they are giving up a full attack to do that, so it's probably counterproductive to ready an action rather than just full attacking. However, it could have some use if the hybrid does a combat maneuver to disarm or trip and 5ft step instead (with no AoO cus total concealment) to negate the attacker's entire turn.

If the Mirror Image caster is a fullcaster then they probably won't care whether or not the attacker is blind.

My players enjoy casting pyrotechnics to blind their enemies. To avoid blinding themselves they use a code word that warns them to close their eyes in anticipation of the light show. I have ruled that they can use this tactic and close their eyes as a free action, but they will be blind until the caster's next turn; otherwise they need to roll the saving throw if they keep their eyes open.

This brings up the principle of simultaneous action, which does or does not exist in the Pathfinder game--I'm not sure.

This is why this game is so unbalanced...

I like the game as it is, but then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

You're being generous (nothing wrong with that) by allowing your players to do that as (basically) an immediate action. If you were not so generous, they should all (except the caster of pyrotechnics) ready an action to (do some standard action, probably take one last swing) with "cover my eyes" tacked on.

I like this game as well... But it is terribly unbalanced....

I would allow my players to close their eyes as a free action as their first action of their turn on their initiative, but to gain the benefit of being blind/eyes closed, they would need to keep them closed for the duration of the round.

Ha ha, I'll tell my players that. From the way they moan and groan I assume they would rather suffer no drawbacks whatsoever from the tactic.

I didn't think too much about my decision but the way I see it, if you're going to blind yourself by closing your eyes then you're going to be blind for a whole round.

Do you teach punning classes? If so then I'd like to become one of your pupils.

These horrible puns are giving me blinding pain. I can't see why you guys insist on doing this.
