Slow Saturday night as I sit here, in a house that's not mine, watching dogs that aren't mine but at least I'm getting paid for it. Also it will be over tomorrow afternoon/evening.
Having been unable to work in over 9 years now every day is pretty much indistinguishable from the another. Yesterday was really slow and seemed to drag on forever and today is looking to be the same. I truly don't know what day it is sometimes. I had to check my calendar this morning to make sure it was Sunday.
Tekko meeting's done. We had to play musical rooms, which wasn't much fun. Nearby at the library, now. BTW, Tekko meetings are held on the University of Pittsburgh's main campus, somewhere.

Howdy Treeforters!
Its a typical SUnday here as I sit backstage, waiting for the dance show to start.
Because the sooner it starts, the sooner it ends, and I can get to work doing the usual insane strike and reset turnaround dance! ;P
Yesterday it did warm back up to 70 degrees F. So I went outside and trimmed my bushes for the first time in at LEAST a year, so now it at least looks like somebody lives here for the coming holidays. :P
(AND I got my exercise!) ;)
AND that means my wife will be able to get me to put up the Christmas Decorations this coming weekend. O_o
Happy Almost Thanksgiving Treeforters!
:D
I put up my tree two weeks ago. I didn't put any ornaments on it, just lots of lights. It's only a 4-foot tall artificial tree but it has over 300 lights on it...lol. None of my strings of actual Christmas lights worked so I strung it with my Halloween orange and purple lights... lol

So now I'm home, I wonder why the puppy is here with me instead of with Mom...but otherwise, I'm glad to be sleeping in my bed.

Right now I'll settle for a real life Stargate or the Infinity Stones and Gauntlet.
I think those are a little ways off still.

The future is here! ;)
I might be with Dr McCoy on the whole teleporter thing though.
I think I prefer my own molecules UNscrambled! ;P

~shakes my head~ Well, I am an idiot. Note to self, read everything BEFORE I work something. Oh well, It all worked out but I really hate it when I make something much harder than it should be.

It was good. Just me and my mother, but family is what it's all about. Right?

So, Got some of the CHristmas decorations up.
The family tree, and the stockings and Nativity set. Basically the front room. :P
Next up, Dining room, outside lights, and my 'man-cave' tree, with all of the star trek/wars/Dr Who etc nerd decorations on it. (It just a little tree, blue for a good background for my mostly-space based ornaments) :)
Daughter is starting to amass a good collection of her own, (Mostly disney and Harry Potter) soon SHE'LL be needing a personal-ornament tree. :/
Wife will then pretty much have the family tree to herself. Which is a good thing, as SHE owns most of the other ornaments! (Disney, yearly ornament with photographs, every single ornament the kids ever made when younger. EVERY. SINGLE. ORNAMENT.)
O_o
Son just 'not into' collecting ornaments. Yet. ;)
I hope to get the outside done tomorrow while the weather is back to its usual 75 degrees or so.
Happy 'Recover from eating too much yesterday' Day! :)

So, I was trying to hang Christmas lights at home today, and had plans to take the family to a movie (Crimes of Grindlewald in 3D), And I got a call from a student worker, one of the smoke hatches had popped open over the stage. SO I had to go deal with that, ...
Dealt with smoke hatch, made the movie, took the family out to eat (That's NOT getting any cheaper!!!) and still had time to go over my lines before tomorrows rehearsal. (First run through off book. THIS'll be fun!) ;P
Sigh,... whatever happened to getting the holiday weekend OFF?!?!? ;P
Oh well, Happy 'recover from eating too much' weekend! :)
Night treeforters,... (Zzzzzzz,...)
I'm 55 and still make Christmas wish lists for gifts I want. Christmas is my favorite time of year. I don't decorate much at all but seeing those of other people makes me very happy.

I’m just happy that
A) I don’t work in retail anymore so I am not inundated with eight decades of cheesy Christmas songs
B) I get some time to spend with family
C) I’m at the point in my life where I am divesting myself of possessions, so Yule is more about the people and happy times.
