You mean OTHER than my youngest brother getting married on June 2nd? No thankfully, not that I'm aware of.

Happy Star Wars Day, everyone! Today is the 41st(!!!) anniversary of the release date of one of the most iconic movies of all time. May the Force be with you!

Sitting in the waiting area of the DMV. Contain your jealousy.
I live in a town of about 62K people. I've never waited more than a half hour at our DMV, thank goodness.
Saw Solo last night, better than Episode VIII to be sure, plus itw as free so what the hell. Still have little hope for Episode IX though.
I was disappointed in Episode VIII, but I didn't hate it. I do have hopes that IX will straighten things out. I hope to see Solo this week. Hell, I still haven't seen Infinity War yet.

If you have to choose, choose Infinity War :-)

Saw infinity war, it was good. At least I liked it. :)
Also had to take the boy to see Deadpool 2, I actually enjoyed the first one more, but there were some good parts in it, if you like that kind of stuff. ;P (Admittedly, Deadpool/Reynolds is not for everyone) ;)
Solo is certainly next, soon as I can afford it. -_-
I understand that not every SW film can be a gem, and certainly nothing can recapture that memory of being impressed for the first time in our youth. But I have never understood the hate. O_o
I have enjoyed them all for what they were.
Because, well,... STAR WARS! :D
Happy Friday to all, and to all a good day!

I have told a friend of mine this so many times my throat gets raw thinking about it. He loathed VIII and takes every opportunity to talk about it that he can. I'm sick and tired of it but he just rants on and on. I have told him the exact thing you said. But to no avail.

Lots of hate out there for I-III but I enjoyed them. VII meh. VIII hated. IV-VI of course loved them (ewoks aside as I would have preferred wookies).

Star Wars is okay. Just okay. The only reason it's lasted this long is full-force nostalgia. I've not been able to watch any of the original trilogy without losing interest midway through since I was a kid.
Science Fantasy isn't for everyone. You're safe, Scint.
Oh, I love science fantasy. I just can't buy into the blind hype for Star Wars. It was groundbreaking at the time, I know, but...I dunno.
I know. I generally go see a movie if it has an interesting plot. If it's got a good story, I'd even watch a Western. Though I usually don't. :)

Hey! I just noticed that they fixed the format button!

I haven't seen any movies mostly because between Dog sitting/care, death of my dog, and general "We need to get ready for a wedding", it's been less than stellar to convince myself to go spend more than $20 on a movie.
That being said, I know what happened in Infinity War. Thanos to told me.

For many of us who use Chrome it wasn't working. They just now got around to fixing it.

I have a friend who's into couponing. Cost less than five bucks for three of us to see infinity war yesterday. I was disappointed. It seems to be half a movie. Probably because the studio has set us up - "you saw the first half of the story, now you must go see the second half of it. Give us your money!" :-(

but we KNEW that was coming.
I mean, its in the title, "Infinity War-PArt 1" ;P
(At least thats what it says on all the adds?)
Still I'm jealous, My aunt coupons like a fiend, but I dont think even she has managed that trick. O_o

I suppose I did know it. Still, they could maybe have split it at a different point. Oh, well. If I'm still alive when part 2 comes out, I'll go see it.
I was amused (and unsurprised) at the last word of a certain WWII vet. :-)
Lawn care sucks. Cleaning house is a little better. But right now what is best: watching Twitch.com and listening to PaizoCon.

I am going to try and arrange my laptop this evening so I can play either Pokemon or Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon (or both) with a controller while using a treadmill. Might actually get some exercise done for once.

Is anyone having computer issues after installing the April Win10 update? My laptop runs slower than ever and the audio keeps trying to buffer every few seconds, causing the music to "buzz". It's so irritating. The laptop is the one I use on game nights for Skyping with long distance players and looking things up on d20pfsrd.
grrr....
No but I am wondering why it is that some times my Flash stuff seems slower.

Said in my deepest "Worf" voice: Today has not been a good day.
I'm sorry to hear that Cal. It's not like this has been a stellar week for me...but I did at least get some gaming in. So that helped.

I did get to game last night. We dusted off DC Heroes which we've not played in nearly 20 years. Some of us never had the actual rulebook for the 3rd Edition of the game back in the day so we found Blood of Heroes, for which the rules are nearly identical. We were all pretty rusty but it was fun. And I got to be a player!
We're trying to get our daughter to get her school projects done so she can avoid summer school (and I can keep working full-time).
So nothing fun for us this weekend, hope Infinity War is still in the theater when school gets out June 8th.
I haven't seen it yet, either. And good luck with your daughter and school. I hope you guys can work it out so she doesn't have to take the dreaded summer school!

Frankly, if she does, it's entirely her fault.
I wouldn't be so pissed if we didn't have this conversation over and over again the last 8 weeks or so.

Or just humans, but about the same thing.
Still have a few light house cleaning items while Mom goes to pick up my brother, but really the worst is over...house cleaning I mean.
The wedding is still upon us! ;)
Just found out my dog is dying and with my financial situation treatment is cost prohibitive. Took the day off we are hanging together such a nice day for such shit news.

We had a good day but he did not buy the ice cream I bought him so that's bad news in and of itself. His breathing got heavy so I brought him home to relax, I'll probably take him out later when it gets a little cooler out, this time with his younger brother.
I am deeply sorry to hear that Shadow. I dunno what it is, but seems like May is the month of death for dogs.
More positive news, if any, is that the soon to be newlyweds will be here tonight for dinner.

Hang in there, Tom. I'm pulling for ya.
Country songs are less depressing than my life right now. :-(
Damn. I'm so sorry that you lost another doggo, Thom.
And now your pupper too, Shadow.
This is terrible. :(
Ambrosia,
Yeah I've been pretty down...but now I'm at middle.
Shadow,
I feel you.
John,
Like I told Ambrosia, I'm at middle.
