Well a naked Succubus WOULD support a career in the study of sexual research! :-)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'll never understand this mindset. You don't have to "keep swinging" if there's nothing to swing at. There has to be a point to it. Otherwise, you're just wasting your energy, and for most people, energy is a finite resource.

I think our Monkey is trying to say not to give up. I don't think you have as you are still trying! That does not mean it can't be frustrating when it feels like you are banging your head against the wall and all of your effort is for naught, it certainly is frustrating. That frustration can sap the will of even the most dedicated and energized person. But keep on keepin' on, at some point you will break through.

I guess it all boils Down to what exactly is 'the point'. I can't define your point. My point is to enjoy life and seek the maximum amount of happiness for the least amount of stress. I'm not all that interested in romance, or riches. At this point I want life experiences and to be able to take care of business without a lot of difficulties.

You know what a Skype interview means? No más pantalones.

Or is that just me?

Are you implying that you are supposed to wear pants to an in-person interview?

Ugh. Not good when your brain can't do anything due to worry

Scarab Sages

I can take that brain off your hand if it's giving you too much trouble.

Just sayin.....

Patrick Curtin wrote:

Yeah,... That worry stuff doesn't help your happiness quotient.

Doesn't help you sleep at night either. ;P

I hope that it's due to worrying over something that hasn't actually happened? (My wife does that. A lot.) ;P

Hang in there monkey! :)

Sorry to hear that. I know how much your furry friends mean to you.

Prayers for your pooch! :) (AND you!) ;)

Hope (he?) gets better soon!

Good news everyone!

Young Master Ichabod has been diagnosed with intestinal colitis. While not fun for him, it is a much better diagnosis than an intestinal blockage, which I had feared. And while the bill was not insignificant, it was still within a range that left me money enough to buy groceries these next few weeks.

So alls well that ends well!

Heads up! Anyone who had expressed interest in my Suicide Squad game who hasn't put their character together, we are waiting on you! Please either get your character done or indicate you are no longer interested in playing

Did you ever hear the one about the comedian who told jokes in which the punch-line was that in the question he asked if you'd heard the joke?

Lol,... ;P

EDIT- Yeah, as much as I wish one of my three university degrees was a 'terminal' degree (an MFA as opposed to my MA) I have spent as many years in school, if not more, than most people who have Doctorates!

I do NOT miss homework! ;P

I loved college and would love to take classes again. But I've just got a BA and no reason to get anything else, apart from intellectual curiosity.

Yay!

It's the worst when they are sick. One of my boys had a UTI last weekend, poor boy. We found some over the counter pills that cleared it right up. The unfortunate thing was how I figured out, I let him sleep on the bed and he peed on me, yeah, not fun...

I was working on a tax LLM to try and get a law firm or IRS job a while back. Finally, I just decided I was sick of school and homework and paying tuition so I quit the program. The first time I ever had a perfect GPA and I quit! I mean if a BA, MBA, and JD are not enough to get a job, who the hell wants the job! Not me :-)

Whilst working for the Navy those many years ago, I was taking classes towards a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. They were offering the courses at work, so it was easy.

During my fourth class, however, my travel schedule proved too much and I had to drop out of the class. By the time things quieted down, other parts of life got in the way of me continuing.

These days, with my P.E. license in place, I don't worry so much about that Masters, although I do know some engineers who have them.

Why mess with the recorded version when there are bands that sound like that live?

Here's a non-drug-addled example.

And to finish, some true amateurs.

I also, sadly, do not see getting to go to any of the big cons anytime soon.

Thank goodness for the local anime con I can go to and get my gaming fix! :)

I've been seriously considering it for years. A couple weeks ago I was looking for an old messageboard post and stumbled across me saying "Maybe this will be the year I go." That post was from 2011. I saw that and realized I had been saying for far too long that I was going to go "one of these years" and decided now was the time.

Have the means = don't have the time.

Have the time = don't have the means.

Hope you have a kicka$$ time!
