I promise to have my clothes on when I do so. Unless I get extraordinarily drunk.

I would sincerely love to go again, but don't see it anywhere in the cards for my future.
I seriously considered it this year but I don't think it is going to work for me :-(
I've been seriously considering it for years. A couple weeks ago I was looking for an old messageboard post and stumbled across me saying "Maybe this will be the year I go." That post was from 2011. I saw that and realized I had been saying for far too long that I was going to go "one of these years" and decided now was the time.

Life is too g$#!!#ned short.

Carpe MF diem

No sense in having "He paid his bills on time" as your epitaph

Have the means = don't have the time.

Have the time = don't have the means.

Hope you have a kicka$$ time!

Don't have means or time. Going anyway

I will toast you all, Treppa, AZ and Shadow and hope y'all will come out and meet us one of these years :)

And I shall buy you two! Or three, or four.....

Jesus Christ that was a lot of cider.

In my case it is a Wife, two dogs, six indoor cats, debt, a house that needs repairs and a car that also needs repairs as well as starting back to school in the fall that has to be paid by yours truely.

Have fun for me too!

(And a drink for me three!) ;P

I also, sadly, do not see getting to go to any of the big cons anytime soon.

Thank goodness for the local anime con I can go to and get my gaming fix! :)

which one is that?

Mechacon!

It started small in Lafayette, LA, and moved to New Orleans because they outgrew all of the hotels in Lafayette. :)

I can (Usually) arrange my work schedule where I can attend. I have some friends there running a couple of different games, (Star Wars mostly) that is where I get my face-to-face gaming fix since I can't get together with anyone on a regular basis here. :)

15 cider is teh awesomesauce!

I'd go, but Paizocon is simply too soon after Tekko, is too far away for me, and most of my free cash will have been spent buying more anime. But at least I was sent the invitation email, though I had to respectfully decline.

When I was in elementary school, I remember reading about another Ion Engine. This was a thin copper rod hanging from a thin plastic chain. You would be able to see the rod move from vertical while the current was applied.

I should say - I understand that there are legitimate reasons someone who may wish to go would be unable to. I had no reason except inertia.

No commitments for this being an annual thing for me! My bucket list is long, even after I check this one off :)

No I get that. I can't do it every year, but hopefully we'll all meet up some year.

We should actually get a date in mind. Say ... 2020? That gives everyone three years to plan.

I should be able to do 2020 if not 2017.

They don't?

I am pretty sure that I had heard about Catherine the Great origins, the new part was her relationship with her mother*.

*for a moment while listening I thought that Catherine banned her mother from the Russian court after becoming empress, but nope, she was banned by Empress Elisabeth before Catherine took the throne - I was confusing two important Russian empresses. I suspect that Catherine didn't mind, though.

Warp Serpent

Re-watched a few movies and had an observation: Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen played a married couple in Godzilla, and then played twin siblings a year later in Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Anyone else getting a weird Game Of Thrones vibe here?

Another (unrelated observation): I've just started my sixth playthrough of Mass Effect as a "new game plus," and it's becoming somewhat apparent that the gameplay is easier as a level 55 character on the second-hardest difficulty setting (Hardcore) than it is as a level 5 character on the easiest difficulty setting (Narrative).

School system of a country that was erased from the world map for 120 years by Catherine The Great might have different standards :P

No plan ever survives first contact with the enemy.

In my case, the enemy is many-fold. We shall see, however. We shall see.....

Hey folks-

Again I have to ask for your positive thoughts and wishes. My pup Icky is not improving. I'm taking him to the vets again, or rather my dad is since I have to go to school. Please keep him in your thoughts
