On the hunt for a guitar again. Mr. Cort never replied, and many of the sellers are an hour's drive away. Found an Ibanez PC15WCNT for $45 this morning, about 15 minutes away, and am making arrangements to meet and check it out.

I've found that Ibanez acoustic guitars aren't nearly as well-made as their electric guitars and basses. All the ones I've played sounded kind of dead.

Edit - eBay also works, but it will not be quickly.
Edit # 2 - If anyone outside your local area wants them, either THEY come and pick them up or THEY pay for shipping and handling.
My local library didn't want any donated books. They only wanted money so they could buy their own stuff. The used bookstores picked through and took some, though I didn't need the store credit. Some sold at a garage sale. The rest went off with 1-800-GOT-JUNK.
Yeah I tried to donate to an epilepsy foundation. They were supposed to come pick them up on a Monday morning. They didn't. I wasn't living at the house&I was working. That afternoon it rained. 700-1000 books ruined. Into the dumpster they went. I was not pleased

When I was moving a few years back, I found a library that was willing to take all my books for their used book sale.
The craziest part was a friend of mine was at a little used book store a few months later and found a paperback copy of Interview with a Vampire with a photo of me tucked into the back cover. Evidently someone had given me the print and I put it in the book for safe transport and forgot about it. It had to survive me donating it, the bookstore proprietor buying it at the library sale, and finally a good friend randomly picking it off the shelf at that store...

My grandfather's collection, now that he's no longer using it. I'm taking a few boxes, but there's a lot of stuff there. Probably every book ever written about WWII-era aircraft (including the one he wrote), plus a bunch of other military history stuff, some leatherbound sets of classic novels, along with volumes and volumes of fiction paperbacks. They're dusty and smell of cigarettes a bit, but are in otherwise good condition.

You might be able to find somebody to take the military history books on the military history buff forum. They have a "barracks" for general postings ("general" postings... get it?) not related to specific events or wars. It might not work if you're in a hurry, but if there's time to let the posting sit and bump it periodically, they might do a lot of the heavy lifting and take that part of the library away. There are also military aviation and WWII plane buff pages on Facebook.
Don't feel bad. A high school friend's father didn't buy WWII aviation books, he bought the entire WWII-vintage Nicaraguan Air Force. Talk about having some heavy stuff to get rid of...

POWER ATTACKING SCYTHE CRIT, WOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Observations:
1. x4 crits are more fun when you have to roll actual dice and everyone around the table chips in so you have enough for ONE. BIG. ROLL. "We need how many d4s?"
2. C'mon, that x4 crit is why we pick scythe! We live for this rare, sacred moment!
3. The fact that 54 points of damage in one blow were inflicted on a lowly goblin dog in no way lessens the triumph.
4. It just doesn't.
5. My scythe fighter now needs a shower.

The most memorable scythe critical I recall was scored by a wight-ish undead on party halfling rogue. She was splattered all around. The player decided to make a new character instead of resurrecting her.
The best Scythe Crit i ever got was against a field of corn, because my parents thought chopping down an acre field of corn with a Scythe "builds character"
Still, it was better "character building" then butchering season, which also helped me "build character"

I've probably been watching too much Gravity Falls and Grunkle Stan and his affection for quotations. :-)
My most memorable scythe crit was during a neverwinter nights 1 game while playing a high level paladin weapon master specializing in a scythe when I slaughtered an entire great room full of giants with crit after crit as they charged me. Not a single one of them actually landed a blow on me and I one shot killed most of them. It didn't hurt that my holy avenger was a scythe.
Tammy is almost entirely crafted from these boards actually. :-)
The only part of her story that's somewhat autobiographical is Wiggles, sadly.
But otherwise she is entirely a creation of being bored on a Friday, even the name Tammy I picked randomly off the top of my head.
Although her personality has become more Mabel Pines positivity and silliness mixed with Dennis Reynolds' almost unconscious evilness (the episode where he's jacked up on Ritalin and trashing some dudes house is the example I use)
