No worries. Stating you watch the Olympics is fine. Getting into a rambling discussion with several other people about the finer points of curling or ribbon dancing? Not so much.

Stuck in a hot bus. Not feeling great. I think I'm going to have to toss the enchiladas I made. My stomach is crying

That sucks, Patrick. Stomach illness while it's hot always seems worse than stomach illness at other times.

Does anybody want to plan my wedding for me?

Two avowed procrastinators like John and I shouldn't be allowed to plan a lunch outing, let alone a wedding.

I had to google two words out of that sentence!

We gave everyone two weeks and told them if they wanted a wedding, they had to plan it, mostly because we were packing all our worldly possessions in our car so we could travel the west coast after we got married. Best two and a half month honeymoon ever! Saw everything then settled down in Seattle. :-)

But what if we are discussing the unmistakeable fact that ribbon dancing produces patterns designed to open an eldritch portal allowing an ancient evil to destroy the world? Would that be OK?

Celestial Healer, Freehold, do you have any plans for the weekend?

My friend is visiting New York this weekend, and she could use some babysitting showing around the city...

I responded to your pm.

I was JUST talking about the wedding with my wife this morning. I remain excited, although I didn't get anything via snail mail yet.

I would offer up my services, but (a) I doubt anyone would want a zombiepocalypse themed wedding, and (b) there seems to be a distinct shortage of midget jousters lately.

That will be rectified relatively soon.

Procrastinators and all that...

I really just had to vent. I'm sure it will be lovely. Instead of looking at what we still have to do, I should look at what we've already done, which is quite a bit.

Did you want me to kidnap Gelman from Live to help with planning again, I'm telling you man, he's gonna start getting wise to it.

Just got done with fourth episode of Fear The Walking Dead.

Wow! good episode! Damn!

The gas station across the street. It seems like they rolled it out to every store in the area over the weekend.

drink one for me bud! I am still searching for one in my area!

Packing day!

Slacking day!

Groan and forehead smacking day!

Good day and welcome to the Great White North travel adventure. Day -2

Packing always sucks the wad. Especially when you just finished unpacking.

The best four days in gaming also drained the monkey hoard. Although I am ready to go, and trust that the universe will take care of me.

Namaste!

Little does Freehold DM know, but we've replaced all the Crystal Pepsi within a 50 mile radius of his home with the far more delicious Whedon Soda.

I hate Mountain Dew so much!

Maybe, even more than Magic: The Gathering.

But probably not.

It's gross, and it contributed greatly to the obesity that is rife in my family.

... I don't think it's gross.

I love Mt. Dew.

Sadly, it is an all-consuming addictive lust, like Wheedon-made media or crack. Thus, I can only indulge rarely.

No problem, I just feel compelled to get that out every time I see it mentioned. :-)

Obviously, I don't want to get into a discussion about the merits (or lack thereof) of Mountain Dew. :-)

if it is made out of freshly squeezed Whedon, then it's all good.

That depends entirely on which part is being squeezed.....

So, Aberzombie... I know you saw my bacon-garnished cocktail from Bar Bacon. Would that be sufficient reason to temporarily lift your ban on going to New York?

Since I don't drink cocktails, probably not. I'm mostly a beer and mead kind of guy. Especially when it's home brewed.....

Not to mention, there's always a good rauchbier, which pretty much tastes like liquid bacon. I can find those many places.

True, but the great thing about...anywhere else....is that it's not New York.
