Greetings forum members, I come to you because my dm is offering something crazy in his next game access to a prestige class at lvl 3 (with some catches ofcourse) so I am here today to ask you what kind of character would you make?
here are the requirements:
1. your first 2 lvls must be of each class you need for the prestige class. (for example if you were going arcane archer you need 1 lvl ranger and 1 lvl wizard or soemthing similar)
2. you do not need to meet skill requirements or BaB requirements. (but for the skill requirements you must try to meet them as soon as possible in the future)
3. feats, you must meet as many feats for the presitge class as possible and you must pick up the other feats the presitige class needs as soon as possible.
and with that there is only 1 prestige class off limits and thats mystic theuge.
So go crazy theory crafters and lets see what you come up with!

I've always thought it would be great to play a ka-stone Living Monolith. You'll have to talk to your gm ahead of time because the
Special: Must have a handcrafted stone scarab worth at least 1,000 gp created and bound to his forehead in a sacred ritual with at least one sphinx or living monolith present
isn't really something you can just sneak in whenever. Any full BAB could make the ka-stone work pretty well.

That opens up a lot of possibilities for Prestige classes that are woefully underpowered because they fall behind spell caster levels. Seems to me this really helps out spell casters- Arcane trickster, instead of being 3 spell lvs behind are only 1- that's a trade I'll make. Same thing with Arcane Archer. I'm intrested to see how this goes.

as fro the Mystic theurge thing- would he allow you to do a seperate PC at 3, then when you make the prereques for MT take it when you qualify by the book?
Also I think some PCs are designed to be for 'High level games only' because of their steep reqs- Master Spy, Loremaster, etc. Are they still allowed at 3d, or do you have to wait till 5th ish?

Oracle 2 - Evangelist at 3
Pick your favorite style of oracle (because it will all be CL-1) and worship a god that gives boons you like and easy obediences.
Heck... ANY class and then evangelist. Classes with 4 or fewer skill points per level will benefit most from the extra skill points.
Edit: A not-very-feat-intense Fighter build might do better taking Sentinel rather than Evangelist.

There are only a few prestige classes that interest me at all.
Mystic Theurge is off limits, which makes me question the point of this exercise.
And Dragon Disciple.
Add in the extra strange rules (must be 2 other classes? wha?) and I would probably just ignore this feature and make a normal character to be honest.

@Rylar: Because every prestige class sucks because of the tedious entry requirements combined with the ridiculous favored class restriction. Breaking the entry requirement allows for an EK (no 3rd level arcane), AA (no +6 BAB), or AT (no SA, or spell level requirements) to actually be better than a bad choice for a player.

It was stated that you needed to take 2 classes, but if you only need one it changes things a little bit.

I'm not sure I agree. Arcane archer, despite me trying repeatedly, is simply a terrible class that never makes up for not continuing your base class(es). 90% or more of the class can be added for simple weapons...
Eldritch Knight, is very vanilla. Even if just making a full BaB-1 wizard losing 2 levels of spell casting puts it behind a melee flavored sorcerer bloodline.
I guess I'd go Dragon Disciple. 2 Claws and a bite attack at 4th level sounds fun. But, I would play a Dragon Disciple under normal circumstances. It's just too bad MT was put on the banned list.

Storm Kindler. 30-80 foot long Shapeable Line Area effect unarmed attack, and at 6th level, you get to add 3d6 of electricity damage to that. And you get to sweep up anyone you want and trap them in the whirlwind (starts at only small targets, but ramps up to huge by the end.)
I would probably go Oracle, just for the flavor. But you could do other things. Warpriest of Gozrah / Storm Kindler might be fun.
