I'm Hilary from the Twin Cities. This is my first time GMing pbp, but not my first time GMing PFS. I am really looking forward to creating a great game for all of you.

Some Play by Post conventions that I plan on using:

• Mass rolling perception
  
• Mass rolling initiatives
  
• Using pre- and post-monster initiative blocks
  
• Making sure to bold the names of those who have actions left in combat.

As a GM, I love character headers that include key information like hp, ac, saves, initiative and perception bonuses. I see that both Wadi and Archon have headers in place, and that makes me happy.

Are there any other PBP conventions that you wish me to consider?

Serket, can you add a header with your key information? Saves, AC, initiative bonus, perception? It really does make life more convenient for me.

Also, I notice a preponderance of fire blasters and desert types in a scenario that all of you know might get a little wet. If any of you wish to make last minute purchases with gold or PP, here's your opportunity.

Right Talon: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Left Talon: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Bite: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Gleefully he tears into it, sending bits of plastic and computer chips everywhere.

Then he preens. Untrustworthy? Us? I don't know what you're talking about.

The scorpion clearly knows how to suck up to the GM. Good, good...

What time zones are everyone in? And do you guys have a preference for posting pace? I tend to post multiple times a day if not at a convention, but can pace things to suit the group.

I'm in EST (GMT -4), but I generally work nights so my posting tends to be late afternoon through early-mid morning. I'm available to post pretty much as often as people want.

I am in the PST zone...Paizo Standard Time, though it has also been called the Pacific Time Zone (GMT-8), he he.

Central Time Zone. GMT -6.

Not that this matters much with pbp, but it's fun sometimes seeing how many time zones one game can cover.

One more serious question... Chronicle sheets. What is normal protocol for them? Can I scan them and upload them to Google Drive? Or would you all prefer email?

Also, I've noticed that other PFS PBP GMs have their players roll their job rolls at the beginning of the adventure.

If your character has a job roll, could you please roll it for me?

I played last night in a module in which one of the other characters was playing Oloch the pregen at level 4. He's a melee beast! And a lot of fun to roleplay. Did I mention that I'm really encouraging roleplay in this adventure? :)

My first time playing a Warpriest though, so I may not master all the mechanic ins and outs.

Oloch very strong, Oloch smash many things. Oloch drive his enemies before him. I see these things in past with Oloch

IMO, Warpriests are more selfish battle clerics. In fact I generally think of them as better battle clerics by design. Most of their key abilities rely on swift actions. Fervor/Sacred Weapon for self buffs on swifts.

Actually, aren't Pregens required to be the Level 1 version, or the minimum one for the Scenario's Tier? I don't care, just curious, I can't remember, honestly.

Nope. Pregens are lvl1.lvl4 and 7th level :)

Nope, Hmm's got it right, though this is not an uncommon argument/thought, I'm not sure if it's an artifact from an old version of the Guide or a common misconnception. Generally you're best served by taking the pregen that best fits the tier you're playing in. (If you want to get into an even more varied debate about pregens ask if they count when calculating APL, or better yet don't, trust me you don't want to start that one again.)

Actually, looks like you do, unless you only have new level one characters or there are no other legal alternatives. But, I don't care, I just don't deal with Pregens much and was curious. Just ignore. :P

Ok, I'm curious as to where you are getting that reading from, I'm happy to have the info off these boards if you like, but am honestly curious.
