Greetngs Potential Adventurers,
I am seeking heroes to stop the plots of the Dragon Cult. Will you help the Realms friend?
Crunch
Draw up a 1st Level PC using the Adventure League rules. Those can be found Here or you can have a 2nd level PC if you have the sheet for it. The adventure began a while back and at this point I have two PC ready. I am looking for two to three more. The game will run by AL standards and I wi send you a sheet when finished. Application process will end on the 8/15/15.

Very interested, what classes are the other 2 players?

A warlock and a life cleric, though if someone else wants to play a cleric, I might rework the cleric into a monk with the healer feat instead.
Thanks that leaves me with some options. Let me put some thought into it, but right now I'm thinking dwarf, spy, fighter or paladin. I'll be able to work on him some more today.

Murph. |

I'd be interested -- thinking halfling outlander ranger (two-weapon/hunter archetype).
Would be my first 5e character that's not a pre-gen, but I've got a PHB and experience with 4 prior editions so think I can figure it out. :)
Are there any "campaign trait" style rules in adventurers league that provide additional character background, etc?

Vaxillis |

@Murph, no, but DM is allowing one of the special campaign bonds from the Hoard of the Dragon Queen. ^_^ They are really good to tie you in to the campaign! Also, as time goes on, we can gain prestige within our faction to unlock special missions and stuff. Don't know if it will come up in this campaign, but if you do any expeditions at you FLGS, you may be able to benefit!

Nacha Shadowflower |

This is Murph's Halfling Ranger! The site is being *real* finicky tonight and I've lost a bunch of typing multiple times, so still have to add some things, but basics are here for GM review.
Quick 5e newbie question -- can I trade in my class's starting equip. for similar / "worse" versions? As in, Ranger gives me a longbow, but longbows are heavy, so I have disadvantage as a Small character. Am I allowed to take a shortbow instead? Similarly, can I "trade down" my starting scale mail (AC 14+Dex) for a chain shirt (AC 13+Dex) to avoid the stealth disadvantage?

Very interested, I would roll up a Charlatan Bard who loves to insinuate himself into groups and monkey wrench the whole operation. He is a scoundrel, a smuggler, a thug, and a rake and those are his good days. He would probably be human with the actor feat. I GM for AL on a regular basis and am very familiar with the rules. I am reluctant to make another alias until I know that I am in the game.

Friendly, strong, tough, but not quite the brightest mind. Befriended a dwarven merchant that saw his feat as well and traveled as a caravan guard for a time after, as well as working as a glass merchant. (To the dwarves fascination and slight distase, after all, glass is to fragile to really last)

Oh, I also was planning on taking the story bond:
