Dean Winchester?

I'd like help building Dean Winchester.

Pretty easy goal, right?

25 point build, core and featured races (preferably human).

Was thinking Slayer with EWP (firearms).
Or is there a slayer archetype that gets guns?

I'd not reach hard for guns. While Dean uses guns a lot, that's just because he has access to modern firearms, which would be a simple proficiency.

If you just want a Dean themed character who uses a gun, you could go with a normal gunslinger. The Winchesters are modern cowboys and the gunslinger is a fantasy cowboy.

I'd probably focus on the close quarters aspect of the Winchesters.
Maybe even dual wield the demon slaying knife with the angel sword for extra cool?

In my Carrion Crown game, one of my players played Dean Winchester. Used a Mysterious Stranger Gunslinger. Between that and the "modern" references and comments and always carrying around salt to prevent ghosts/demons/whatever from coming back (even though it did nothing in game) - the character went over really well in our group.

A Yokai Hunter Ranger may be a good fit. Combine it with Skirmisher, so you don't have to have spells.

Ok. first off

What season Dean?

His skill set and battle style changes SO MUCH over the seasons. Further more sometimes he has.. ya'kno powers of various kinds..

So what version of Dean do you want from what stage of Dean?

Short run down being.. POTENTIAL TV SERIES SPOILERS
early seasons, He was alll gun loving. Loved him some insta kill revolver goodness..

Apoc seasons, he was gun and blade wielding, (picked up blade loving in hell..) (this dean would be more dex based with gun and blade attacks. The way he used close range weapons was usually quick stab instant kills, with either a bowie knife, angel blade, or deamon kiling knife. He didn't use a lot of strength (in comparision to later seasons I mean. Obivously he had strngth still. Not remotely dumped)

THen 6-7 part of 8 He went (Effective in PF) two handed. He loved his machetes and just chopping people apart. and started focusing on strength. Mostly due to having to behead Leviathans, and vampires.

8 and 9 he's basically abandoned guns in favor of overwhelming physical power, focusing on one handed knives (bowie knife and cain's blade). He has used guns here and there.. but he's also thrown knives. This one I'd say one handed focus, kukri for his bowie knife, knives to throw (if you wanted to throw i'd use that hurling belt to be str based like he throws). I"m not sure how to reprisent cains' blade.. maybe scimater or something. Either go for bigger one handed dice or good crit.

Deanmon: All cain's blade all the time. violent. Antipaladin (but somehow not being utterly evil.. so would be hard to do) or Evil Warpriest, with relatively downplayed spells (buffs only, Play it as the blade itself is empowering him, sinceh te blade does give him a loto f power ups and defenses. Blood rager with the right bloodline might be good too.

As for classes..? Pretty up in the air for things other than deanmon. Earlier seasons, Gunslinger, mysterious stranger or pistilario come to mind.
Apoc Dean... gunslinger still sounds right, Slayer would also be very good for reprenting all the tools they use, and later on excecute could be him using an angel blade or deamon killing knife. Can also carry a shotgun or scatter gun. (Dean and Sam, and especially Ellen and Jo used shotguns a lot that season).

8 and 9... Well really any martial class again. You could even play a paladin, ignoring the casting (or using it to represent the blade empowering him) He tries to be soo good, but occasionally slips it coudl make for a fun paladin if your gm is ok with it. but otherwise don't since you'd fall so quick playing a real dean. Barbarian's rage could be played up soo well as the Mark's bloodlust

So What kind of dean do you want?
