i told my gm that i was building a trip-based reach fighter and his eyes rolled. I then said i was planning on using dirty tricks to maximize my combat potential and that caused him to start drinking lol. i guess i need to be able to carefully explain each specific action i will be doing and the desired effect i hope it would cause. he does'nt seem to be too keen on reach polearm dirty tricks. i mentioned rake across eyes(no damage but blindness),smashing or turning helmet(no damage but blindness).
any suggestions of reach polearm dirty tricks would be greatly appreciated.
the flavor and feeling behind dirty tricks seems to be creativity, but still believable in game mechanics.

Blinded: Jab at the target's eyes. Pull hood/helmet/hat over eyes. Scoop up dirt/water/sand with polearm blade and fling into eyes of target.
Dazzled: Turn blade of polearm to reflect light into target's eyes.
Deafened: Slam flat of poelarm blade onto ear. Slam flat of polearm blade against helmet to cause a "gong" effect inside.
Entangled: Stick polearm between target's legs and twist. Use polearm to pull cloak/robe/other object around target's legs.
Shaken: Characterize it similar to the Feat "Dazzling Display" targeting one creature. Maybe pull an awesome spinning usage of the polearm but pull the blow with the blade mere inches from the target's skull.
Sickened: A non-lethal jab to the stomach or vitals using the blunt portion of the polearm. Otherwise known as the "nut shot."

I actually just built the EXACT same kind of character (reach trip/dirty trick fighter), and it looks just BRUTAL on paper.
Fun fact: Did you know you can keep an opponent almost permanently dazed with the Dirty Trick Master feat, with no save? Basically, if you dazzle them with the first one (lol, the weakest debuff), if they don't spend a standard action to remove it, you can follow it up by upgrading it to daze... which not ONLY lasts for several rounds, but they can't remove it, as per the daze condition entry, a dazed target can't take actions. Sure, it requires a follow up... but you've still wasted a standard action on their part, at the very worst, or totally crippled them at best.
Or, if you dip into a Maneuver Master and have the Quick Dirty trick feat, you could get lucky and pull it off in one round.

I'm doing the exact same thing, though I'm getting Lore Warden 6 first, then going Maneuver Master (those bonus feats/BAB are NICE... plus Weapon Mastery).

I'm not sure that you can use Dirty Trick with a weapon at all.
The Dueling property in the Pathfinder Society Field Guide specifically calls out Dirty Trick as something the weapon would apply its bonus to, which implies that the intent is that you can use a weapon to deliver this type of maneuver.

i actually am having problem picking traits because i want them all. i can pick 3 if i take a drawback, or five(additional traits feat) if none of them match type, and i lose ancest arms falchion from half elf and decide to play human and wield martial polearm.
snowstride, bred for war, heirloom weapon, def statagist, temple guard, threatning defender, armor expert(now wear mithril breastplate no armor penalty), oppurtune slayer...and any that give inititive bonus
lol, some traits are pretty nice for reach builds, trip, aoo

Fair enough. Good to know. (I was going by the manuvers which can normally replace attacks. Dirty Trick only can with a specific feat.)

I would not assume that you can use a weapon to perform a Dirty Trick combat maneuver.
Here is a blog by SKR that specifically says "For example, just because you have a +5 greatsword doesn't mean it gives you a +5 bonus on dirty trick checks".
Technically, this doesn't say that you can't do Dirty Tricks with a greatsword, but it does say you should not expect to get the enhancement bonus on the CMB check which sort of implies that you're not using it. However, I suppose a different inference could be that you still use the greatsword to do the Dirty Trick but it just doesn't give you any bonuses, so your chance of successfully blinding (for example) your enemy by hitting him in the eyes with a +5 greatsword is the same as with a normal greatsword - awkward, but I guess it's plausible.
(Yes, I know, you want to use polearms and blog says greatsword, but I see no reason to treat them differently).
Based on this blog, I would definitely make sure your GM will allow this tactic. And show him the blog too, just to be sure (it would be irritating if you're 7 levels into your build when he finds the blog on his own and suddenly rules that you can't do it anymore).

Per that blog post it seems very contextual(much like dirty trick in general having to invent an action to apply a debuff).
It would seem using a +5 greatsword to trip someone would get the +5 bonus because you are actually striking your target.
But contextually I wouldn't grant the +5 bonus for smacking dirt off the ceiling to blind your target. The mechanic in the blinding actually being the dirt and not the sword.
But maybe applying dirt on your sword and then smacking your target in the face or knocking askew his helmet would get the enhancement bonus. Or maybe just slicing his eyelashes. When I get an eyelash out of place I can't see for anything out of that eye.
