Many of the year 0 PFS mods including the retired ones are on sale right now--mostly for $1. At that price, I'm thinking of picking one up to run at a local game day.
What do you think the best non-retired adventure is? (If there's a difference between best to play and best to DM, tell me the best to DM--that's what I'm buying it for).

# 6 Black Waters is my favorite to run. Great setting and lots of chances to Role Play. You need to flesh out some details but it has some of my favorite NPC's to run in some very creepy settings.
# 1 Silent Tide is tied as my number 2. Fun NPC that shows up later in the seasons and a tour of Absalom. Nifty story and a few cool environments to have combats in.
# 5 Mists of Mwangi my other number 2. First Blackrose adventure and has led to some of the most memorable/funniest role play in PFS for our group.
A big issue with many of the season 0 (and season 1 for that matter) adventures is that they do not play out as well if you are not using the faction missions. I suggest you ask the PC's to attempt using them to get the full effect.

Our Lady of Silver.
- Wedding Elephants
- Dancing on hot coals
- Dark Cults
- Courtroom drama
- A luxurious seaside view
It's especially awesome if you have extra time, so you can use some of the materials that a bunch of GMs put together including "faction missions" that are part of the main story and add a lot of fun RP, as Andrew mentions just above :)
Edit: My honorable mention goes to #22 Fingerprints of the Fiend - the first combat is unique and very challenging, and the third encounter can be *tons* of fun, especially if you know a local Star Wars player who can loan you some of these!

I'm also quite fond of Black Waters. It's a spooky one.
I've had fun with Slave Pits of Absalom, but that's partly because I have fond memories of the specific players that I played it with on the two occasions where I GMed it.
(For that matter, the first time I ran Blakros Museum I had a great bunch of players who played up the effect of the Mists quite well. The non-rocket-scientist dwarf fighter and the non-rocket-scientist half-orc barbarian, ironically, were the only ones who made the save.)

I have to post again because, on reflection, Season 0 has a lot of my personal favorites...so in support of the other recommendations:
- I have to echo Avatar-1 above - Prince of Augustana is a wonderful scenario for new GMs to tackle.
- Silent Tide is a great "intro" scenario to the society as a whole, and has a little bit of everything (combat, traps, talking, etc.).
- Frozen Fingers, Mists of Mwangi, and Black Waters (check the pfsprep.com website and/or the GM boards for neat menu ideas!) are awesome fun, and 2/3 of these actually do play important roles further down the road for PCs who end up at the higher tiers...

For higher-tier antics, I really enjoyed Lost at Bitter End. It takes place in a corner of Golarion the Society seldom visits, has some good atmosphere, and has a pretty solid final fight.
I concure with this ... I would love to see more scenarios in that area
it really forces an entirely new Dynamic into things

I haven't played Black Waters, so I can't speak about that one.
My favorites are #5 Mists of Mwangi (for the mood) and #1 Silent Tide (mood, mechanics, encounter setups).
My least favorite is #14 The Many Fortunes of Grandmaster Torch, because its definition of a Pathfinder's job just didn't match mine. The interesting thing is, that very scenario caused my elven magus to have a conscience conundrum and that made her a thousandfold more interesting to play for me as a result.

I ran #14 Many Fortunes of Grandmaster Torch in a, uuh, small PFS convention featuring booze with almost no preparation. It took 1½ hours, it was super hilarious (because we didn't take it seriously), and it was also so bad.
It's funny how #5-12 Destiny of the Sands, Part I — A Bitter Bargain is almost a carbon copy of #14 Many Fortunes of Grandmaster Torch, except #5-12 is done properly. Of course, during Season 0 all scenarios features "must have" battles, something of a habit during the time which only recently has been gotten rid off, namely #5-11 Library of the Lion.

Black Waters and Mist of Mwangi rank up there. I can't disagree with any choices. The Many Fortunes of Grandmaster Torch has some great writing, and Silent Tide is also a good deal of memorable encounters, especially the optional encounter.
Play them Core to see how we did it in year zero. I ran Dark Waters in core recently and they had a whole new appreciation for year zero.

I concur with Mists of Mwangi, Silent Tide, Black Waters. I fear that Frozen Fingers is just too easy now. I've got Prince of Augustana ready as a newbie introduction scenario, because it's easy and funny.
My favourite is Decline of Glory. It's got a good story, setting and RP opportunities, and some pretty tough fights. I do think the environmental effects were overdone a bit though.

Im surprised nobody has mentioned Among the Living. I love running this one, esp when people start doing some crazy things. I think its one of the first scenarios I can remember that 'locked' the group inside the one location. It Suffers in that its one of the 'just add more of the same' to increase the difficulty but It also introduced Zyphus and his wackiness to society.
I just love the idea of Wackly Taldan Opera mixed with Zombies and a cult of essentially 'accidental death'
Prince of Augustana I have run on 4 locations (which is the most ever for me). I loved the Prince scene. So many players have been giving noble titles by the Prince in their endeavours to close the foul door to the hells!

Too much RNG hate in that one, plus the double penalty for doing poorly in the final fight. I was going to mention it as an example of a bad scenario. Part of it is likely that I was really looking forward to a night at the Taldan opera, mixing with high society. Getting stuffed in with the commoners and not mixing with anyone until after the zombies didn't help.
I really enjoyed Prince of Augustana, but the scenario needs updating because of a change in rules. I also enjoyed Mists, although a poor roll on knowledge can really hurt in that one.
I'll have to investigate Black Waters.
