Golgothan Trade

We have already had quite a few successful trade opportunities up on our mountain and I would like to have more of them in the future. If you are in need of +2 gear send me a pm and we will start working out a deal. We are also willing to trade raw materials and recipes.

I do recommend that if you are coming up the mountain to train you announce yourself pretty loudly to avoid the murder hobos that live in the bushes.

Grand Lodge

Hm, I may try to pay you a visit. I still need Moonstone. Let the murder hobos be warned, though, one wrong look and they will be dead before they hit the ground.

What if one gives you the "right" look instead?

*waggles eyebrows*

This Golgothan murder hobo doesn't even care who wins.

#PFOcontent happens either way.

But if you're here on invite, I'll behave.

Hrm, I think any look will be the "wrong" look in those parts, if the stories I have heard are true.

I can say from my travels in the area and discussions with Phyllian, the Golgothans honor their word not to attack you once given. Much appreciated by us non-aggressive diplomat types...

People always forget about the "lawful" part of "lawful evil".

Can't make Lawful without Awful!

Trespassers are law breakers. We kill law breakers. Traders are welcome and if they identify themselves we will let them live.

And if the land you claim is not lawfully yours?

The primary benefit of Lawful Evil - in my opinion - is that you're free to choose which Laws count, and to do so with nothing but your own self-interest in mind :)

Possession is 9/10ths of the law...

I would say the SOCIETY is free to choose not the individual.

If the individual gets to pick and choose which laws to obey and which ones are "out of date" or "irrelevant" (the way real world religious fundamentalist fanatics do) then its not Lawful Evil but actually Chaotic Evil masquerading as lawful for its own benefit.

Goblin Squad Member

Yes large smelly beast you are not lesser. I made a poor attempt at humor, please excuse me...

Hold what you can, attack what is useful. Above all maintain what is profitable.

Good to see the Gollies building a reputation out of the gate.

Goblin Squad Member

Does that have not have implications on 'the needs of the many -vice- the needs of the one' argument?

Just make sure that your trade contract specifically stipulates that you will be allowed to leave the territory unmolested and with all your possessions AFTER the trade as well. Otherwise, after the lawful deal is completed, the evil part will gladly rob the shiny coins you just received off your husk...

If we made deals like that, people would stop wanting to trade. now, if you left them came back without intent to trade..that's another story.

Goblin Squad Member

I have found them a nice bunch, but I run straight to the gates, don't poach on neither mobs nor nodes, yelling 'Trader'.
Done some good deals and not been eaten yet.

I would love it if they turn on fall dmg without telling us.

I regularly jump off the cliffs above Thornkeep when coming down from Forgeholm. Just all of a sudden, SPLAT! And I'm at a shrine.

Good times...

Walk any road, float any river.

I'll be by for some gemstones later. You won't see me.

Grand Lodge

I came, I saw, I made a trade deal, and no blood was shed. That's a fair enough start.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

If you are afraid to go up the mountain - if you want to meet half way - Emerald Lodge tries to offer a meetup for trade every day at 20:00 GMT. A trade envoy from Golgotha is invited. So maybe in this case organize something with them.
There are no charges - we just expect everyone to behave.

Goblin Squad Member

LOL thod, you'd be proud. We already used E.L. as a trade point.

Goblin Squad Member

I too have made a satisfactory deal with Golgotha, without being molested, after the correct procedures of diplomacy were followed. :)

Though I think a Dwarf called Gringit was looking at me sideways.....

He was a "red shirt" still though, so I wasn't too worried. ;)

Thanks, Phyllain, for the trade.

Great !! I sometimes see characters that I don't know. If they spot me - they should say hello from Golgotha. This saves me trying to embarrass myself and inviting them to join Emerald Lodge.

Company name, and preferably also Settlement should appear below a characters name if you check them. I hope this is implemented soon, since these are simple but important tools for communication in this social game.

Right now, everyone is a stranger that can totally lie about their affiliations.

Though you could check their claims of belonging to a certain company, with the Search Company tab. But this sort of thing should be instant.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

Even the search company tab doesn't work foolproof. At the moment you can scroll in the leader box - but you can't scroll in the member box. So you only see the top 5 or 6 in alphabetical order.
I know because I can't even tell which accounts from my family joined and which haven't as I didn't do book-keeping.

I spent 15 years in South Central and didn't ever think I'd be throwing the "Where you from?" challenge in a computer game. ;-)

Me? I'm an O.G.
