Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

Because of two reasons: Merry's utter lack of interest due to early personality conflict. And Ivar's obsession with hitting things taking all precedence in his thought process.

mondays suck. Will finally post tonight.

So the phrase "I hit that" is not what you are looking for

It is surprising how heavy a 9 lbs sledge hammer gets, I spent a summer after college working for a friend of my dads on a concrete crew. Its amazing how many concrete jobs start by taking the old concrete out :)

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

Ha, not the way Ivar thinks about it!

I know what you mean...take a look at roads. Being born in 1979, after the major Interstate projects started by Eisenhower, I sit here dumbfounded. How in the hell did they get thousands of miles of Interstate built when it takes them ten years to build 250 miles between Birmingham and Memphis?

LG Female cleric of Briegh 1; hp 10/10; Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +5; AC14 Rhea's Encounters!

that is the best question I've heard in a while. I blame socialism.

Male Elf Investigator (empiricist) 1 | HP 9/9 | AC 15 T 13 FF 12 | Ft +2 Rf +5 Wi +2 (+2 vs. enchantment) | Perc +6 | Init +3 | Inspiration +1d6 4/4

I blame crony capitalism.

I blame politicians who are more interested in lining their own pockets instead of doing what is best for their constituents: both the "socialists" and the "capitalists"

Not that either are really either, sort of a conglomeration of sociocapitalists or capitalsocialists.

Just wish their goal would be to do what's best for their state and nation instead of their personal interest groups.

didn't mean to start a political conversation, just mentioned I had swung a sledgehammer before :)

Male Gnome Sylvan Sorcerer 2 | AC 12 T 12 FF 11 | HP 11/11 | F +1 R +1 W +3(+4) | init +1 | perc +2 | Spells Lv1 6/6 Bartimaeus: Big Cat | AC 14 T 13 FF 11 | HP 18/18 | F +4 R +6 W +2 | perc +6

I blame the whippersnappers and would like them to get off my lawn and get a job :)

Female Half Elf Magus 5 HP: 50/50 | AC: 20 | T: 20 | FF: 12 | CMD: 22 | Fort: +7 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Init: +4 | Perc: +9 | Sense Motive: +1

I'd actually like there to be available jobs so I can actually use the degree I spent thousands of dollars for.

ouch

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

I know what you mean. Don't know much about New Zealand, but I imagine it is relatively laid back and lightly populated, like the grand State of Mississippi (Jackson has about 250,000 people, no other city has above 50,000). Great if you can get your foot in the door...and once you get experience you're head and shoulders above the local competition. It's just getting your foot in the door that's the problem.

LG Female cleric of Briegh 1; hp 10/10; Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +5; AC14 Rhea's Encounters!

Can I get some feedback on this spoiler approach to dungeon exploration? Is it super annoying? Or is it kinda working for folks?

I think the spoiler approach is ok, it certainly speeds up the game, which I like a lot. I try not to cheat and read them if I don't roll high enough. And If I cheat and read it I make sure Ivar doesn't :)

Male Gnome Sylvan Sorcerer 2 | AC 12 T 12 FF 11 | HP 11/11 | F +1 R +1 W +3(+4) | init +1 | perc +2 | Spells Lv1 6/6 Bartimaeus: Big Cat | AC 14 T 13 FF 11 | HP 18/18 | F +4 R +6 W +2 | perc +6

I am actually twenty and one of those no job people.

I like the spoilers for speeding up the game like Ivar said and keeping myself ignorant of stuff my character wouldn't go near.

Female Half Elf Magus 5 HP: 50/50 | AC: 20 | T: 20 | FF: 12 | CMD: 22 | Fort: +7 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Init: +4 | Perc: +9 | Sense Motive: +1

I like it, its nice to know what bits to "look at" or investigate unlike some PFS scenarios where you waste a good hour investigating something that turns out to be irrelevant.

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

I concur.

Male Elf Investigator (empiricist) 1 | HP 9/9 | AC 15 T 13 FF 12 | Ft +2 Rf +5 Wi +2 (+2 vs. enchantment) | Perc +6 | Init +3 | Inspiration +1d6 4/4

You only think it's irrelevant because you failed the DC to figure out what it was! ;)

LG Female cleric of Briegh 1; hp 10/10; Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +5; AC14 Rhea's Encounters!

would you guys rather know the monster's basic AC up front? For pbp roleplay purposes?

Female Half Elf Magus 5 HP: 50/50 | AC: 20 | T: 20 | FF: 12 | CMD: 22 | Fort: +7 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Init: +4 | Perc: +9 | Sense Motive: +1

We potentially shouldn't. Generally, you can roll knowledge and if you beat the DC you can ask for extra data like any defensive abilities, AC etc etc. Like, you can already look them up on the net if you are so inclined, so I don't really see a bonus to listing basic AC up front.

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

I really like it best when the DM rp's the results of an attack. I guess I'm old school. :)

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

Just wanted to post an apology...it was just meant as a jest, since you posted you were sitting this one out. Sorry about that. I'll be more mindful in the future.

Female Half Elf Magus 5 HP: 50/50 | AC: 20 | T: 20 | FF: 12 | CMD: 22 | Fort: +7 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Init: +4 | Perc: +9 | Sense Motive: +1

whoa relax, I was joking lol. I'm not offended in the slightest, just joking around with you all =]

LG Female cleric of Briegh 1; hp 10/10; Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +5; AC14 Rhea's Encounters!

Yeah, Tusara is chill. I like all our characters and players. fun game.

Whoa there you guys are going to break the internet.

whew, no "color spray" for Ivar

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

Whew, ok...I was sitting here red-faced, very confused-like. I try to keep my audience in mind, and am usually pretty good at knowing what is appropriate and isn't for a certain group, so it caught me off-guard, is all. :)

Male Gnome Sylvan Sorcerer 2 | AC 12 T 12 FF 11 | HP 11/11 | F +1 R +1 W +3(+4) | init +1 | perc +2 | Spells Lv1 6/6 Bartimaeus: Big Cat | AC 14 T 13 FF 11 | HP 18/18 | F +4 R +6 W +2 | perc +6

I'm not sure how this works so I'll put it here:

Grease wrote:
Material objects not in use are always affected by this spell, while an object wielded or employed by a creature requires its bearer to make a Reflex saving throw to avoid the effect. If the initial saving throw fails, the creature immediately drops the item. A saving throw must be made in each round that the creature attempts to pick up or use the greased item.

Does the skeleton have to make a save every round? It says save to use the item but earlier it says save to avoid the effect so I'm not sure if the sword is greased but he held on or if he avoided it being greased.

Male Elf Investigator (empiricist) 1 | HP 9/9 | AC 15 T 13 FF 12 | Ft +2 Rf +5 Wi +2 (+2 vs. enchantment) | Perc +6 | Init +3 | Inspiration +1d6 4/4

If he makes his initial save, the spell ends for that effect.

yeah I checked on the move AoO and saw a 5ft step was allowed that why I put a line through half my earlier post. Paizo is kicking me off a lot for some reason, I'm going to bed, I will check back a little later.

LG Female cleric of Briegh 1; hp 10/10; Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +5; AC14 Rhea's Encounters!

Do you guys want to go back and see what the NPCs have done to the pyramid? Or swim through the caves into the unknown...

Gosh i is glad it's friday!

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

Friday's are very nice. I think I'd rather go check on the NPC's, considering my character is rather abysmal at swimming.

Female Half Elf Magus 5 HP: 50/50 | AC: 20 | T: 20 | FF: 12 | CMD: 22 | Fort: +7 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Init: +4 | Perc: +9 | Sense Motive: +1

Saturday here

WOuld prefer swimming but dont mind either way.

not sure where the water takes us, I would rather go back to the Ziggurat, I would still like to speak to the guy who is running the apes.

was the skeletons sword or spear worth picking up?

we could go to the ziggurat and come back to the cave get the coins and swim tomorrow

LG Female cleric of Briegh 1; hp 10/10; Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +5; AC14 Rhea's Encounters!

The sword and spear are just normal.

Gotta go to my daughters Kindergarden Christmas thingy. then tonight I will watch battlestar galactica, drink ale, and work up an RP fodder post for what happens at the Ziggurate:)

Male Elf Investigator (empiricist) 1 | HP 9/9 | AC 15 T 13 FF 12 | Ft +2 Rf +5 Wi +2 (+2 vs. enchantment) | Perc +6 | Init +3 | Inspiration +1d6 4/4

I'll make a post in the morning. Company xmas party was fun but tired.

LG Female cleric of Briegh 1; hp 10/10; Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +5; AC14 Rhea's Encounters!

I am certainly NOT trying to push the game along too fast. Just want to make sure Players always know what direction lyeth adventure:D We can do some sidequests or exploring if you want. The temple can be kind of a home base for you guys for the remainder of book 1 SERPENT SKULL.

Ok, a couple of questions is the chest still on top of the ziggurat and are the monkeys going to be mad if ivar breaks it open.

Did Zamoozi pick up the short sword or is it still on the altar?

did Klorak come to the party?

I'm not opposed to side quests, actually I think they would be great, and I would still like to meet Klorak. But, we are going to need to sober up Ivar a little first.

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

Ummm...Ivar...what's up with you gambling away the party loot? :p

You keep what you kill right? And anyway that cool obsidian and bamboo axe is worth way more than any old longsword. "Longswords we don't need no stinking longswords." And don't say it like that, say it like...Ivar. oops you did, never mind.

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

The short sword itself is no big deal...but are we taking that strategy for loot-division? I think fair split is the norm. Some players are brutish melee, some are support, some are healer, etc.

speaking of the short sword I'm hoping its still on the altar IT was masterwork so if we can get it back that would be awesome.

all kidding aside, I assume everything will be even split, or at least as need. Ivar can't use the staff of darkness, nor does he need the magic dagger, that kind of thing. The "keep what you kill" was just a fun "Riddick" reference.

LG Female cleric of Briegh 1; hp 10/10; Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +5; AC14 Rhea's Encounters!

If you want to know if the short sword is still at the altar then you should have Ivar go look!

If you want to know if Klorak is at the party you should ask some monkeys!

I am glad you are up for sidequests, so am I!

I've been reading the iron gods campaign...it's very good. Very very good. That AP will be very very fun.

so I understand are we headed back to the top of the ziggurat or are we going someplace else?

Female Half Elf Magus 5 HP: 50/50 | AC: 20 | T: 20 | FF: 12 | CMD: 22 | Fort: +7 | Ref: +6 | Will: +6 | Init: +4 | Perc: +9 | Sense Motive: +1

I'm looking at the Ziggurat, but you are all welcome to do something else in the meantime.

@ Rhea: are you considering running Iron gods???? on say a PBP sight???

LG Female cleric of Briegh 1; hp 10/10; Fort +4, Ref -1, Will +5; AC14 Rhea's Encounters!

oh yes I certainly WILL be doing Iron gods...

but right now i'm kinduv enjoying serpent skull:)

does anyone see any reason Ivar should not break the trunk open?

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

Beyond the fact that there might be fragile items in there, none at all.

I was looking at the pfsrd to see if there is a way to break the lock and not the trunk, any ideas?

Female Human Warpriest 1 of Iomedae HP 13/13 | AC 20/12/18 | F +3, R +2, W +4 | Init + 1 | Perc +2

If you have a crowbar you could attempt to pry it open.
