How to acquire a rock in PFS

Hi everyone !

I would like to play a rock thrower leveraging the Stone Oracle "Rock Throwing" Revelation (see below). However, I suddenly realized that a "rock" is not an item listed in any Legal Source I was aware of (please correct me if I am wrong). I am talking about a simple stone rock for throwing purposes.

So here are my questions :

1) Is there any PFS Legal way to buy a rock ?
2) Am I allowed to pick up a rock off the ground and write it in my inventory sheet ?
3) Assuming that I could pick a rock, am I allowed to actually use such a mundane item if it is not listed in any PFS Legal source ?

Thanks for your help and advice !

Rock Throwing (Ex): You are an accomplished rock thrower and have a +1 racial bonus on attack rolls with thrown rocks. You can hurl rocks up to two categories smaller than your own size. The range increment for a rock is 20 feet, and you can hurl it up to 5 range increments. Damage for a hurled rock is 2d4 for a Medium creature or 2d3 for a Small creature, plus 1-1/2 your Strength bonus.

Just pick one up off the ground.

2d4 is a really big rock. Like, 5-10 pounds.

Pick up the rock. As long as you are within reason, I don't foresee a GM begrudging you a few rocks in your inventory.

If you can't find one, you can always cast Stone Call (not normally a Cleric/Oracle spell, but Stone Oracle gets that as a bonus spell.)

I have a rock-thrower and this is how I've always done it. And sometimes during travel or boxed-text, I say that I pick up a couple of nice chuckin' rocks and put them in my pocket, just to establish that it's something my character does regularly and thus should always have a rock or two when needed.

I think the intention is to actually just pick them up. That's why they give you the weapon stats for a rock in the revelation's description.

Isn't that how sling stone, separate from bullets, work? The CRB mentions that you can fire them from a sling but no price or other info so I always just assumed they can be found loose on the ground for free. Size tiny stones would be more limiting in how many you could carry but beyond that I wouldn't think you'd generally have any trouble with a GM allowing you to have them.

Clubs are free.

Stone clubs are free.

Hardness of stone is 8.

Second story of Skyreach is 30ft.

Average damage falling 30ft is 10.

Now you have a collection of rocks.

Remember that the rock is not sized a tiny-sized creature. It is sized as a tiny-sized weapon.

A medium weapon-sized rock sized for a medium creature would be one that can be grabbed by one hand, about the size of a baseball. Now halve that size, and haves again for a tiny weapon -sized rock. It would be the size of a skipping stone.

If it was a tiny creature-sized rock, it would be the size of a house cat or chicken.

If you can remember the difference between the two, then you can know that you can carry a whole pouch of them with no worry.

As for the damage, it is an extraordinary ability, so 2d4 doesn't really mean anything.

Edit: Refer to this thread for concerns about size, proficiency, etc.

That is not what the ability says. If the ability meant weapons two steps smaller than usual it would say that. It instead says the rock is two sizes smaller than the thrower so a medium PC throws a tiny creature sized rock. PFS operates by RAW.
