So, my fiance and I got into a conversation about the PF iconics earlier today... And she brought up a nifty idea.
Any chance Paizo's going to come out with a pair of Iconics that are twins? Or just siblings with one-another for that matter?
What do you guys think about Sibling Iconics? Fiction & Myth abound of siblings, and twins just give so much potential for fun back story, IMO.
Could go with the 'anti/opposite class' aspect, with a whole 'harmonious, two-halves of the whole' deal...
I dunno, I just thought it'd be nifty. How about you guys?

Sajan, the iconic monk, has a missing sister, which is an interesting idea in and of itself for an iconic. I strongly doubt that they would ever release the details thereof, though, as that would "solve" his purpose for adventuring... not something they want to do.
One of the difficulties in handling siblings as iconics is the question of what, exactly, to do with them. What class would they be? Make them the same class, and you undermine the point of being iconics. Make them different classes, though, and you run into other questions, and a potentially forced story. Also the fact that, in the end, all of the iconics are, by their nature, loners of a sort, works against this.
It certainly is an interesting idea, but I suspect that unless they come up with a personally inspiring idea, or there is some specific clamor for it, siblings and twins are likely to remain out of sight. EDIT: at least with the iconics; there are likely going to be sibling characters in stories (there already are), but that's a different thing.

well he can't really go home with that death that might be waiting on him and his sister well.....
needless to say, he could still adventure and so could she.

Of course. But he's lacking the drive. The thing that makes his story a story is his drive to find his sister. If they suddenly show his sister as an iconic, it undermines that.
It's like giving Batman or Spiderman their families back, or having Yoda successfully assassinate the Emperor, or just having Wildstyle agree to settle down into a happy life with Emmet while Lord Business surrenders the Kragle: it heavily undermines the character created by the events that are part of their history.
Sure, all of those people could still adventure - of course they could -, but the dynamic of everything would be entirely different. The characters would be different. Their drive would be substantially lacking.

...I just had a horrible idea for an iconic sibling pair. An Iconic Summoner... whose eidolon is in the shape of her dead twin sister. "What do you mean, she's dead? She's right here."
The idea is already in Ultimate Campaign
Concerning Sajan, there is an illustration where we can see him train with a female monk that really seems to be his sister, I can't remember in which book it is. So I guess we can consider that he ended up finding her.
I think you mean the picture in Inner Sea Combat. Nothing was specified though.

Having just looked the picture up... I guess you could interpret it that way. EDIT: I realize that, on a tone-deaf internet, this probably sounds dismissive. It's not meant to be! It's a, "Huh, that's not how I would have looked at it, but I can definitely see how you came to that conclusion."
They're both muscled, have vaguely similar clothing styles, and those heavy Irori-things on their wrists.
Considering she's trying to hit him with actual fire, I'm not entirely sure they're training together, though...

Heh. Nice.
It may well be somehow non-lethal, but... it's unusual. I mean, it's possible that they just respect their talents and skills enough that they're holding nothing back with complete confidence in the other's ability, but... again, it seems... I don't know... unwise to be that confident.
That said, the idea that he's found his sister - whether or not that reunion is a happy one - is actually really interesting. The potential fallout, both good and bad, for that is very interesting - I simply would never have expected Paizo to do so, because that would solve one of their iconics' reasons for adventuring - something I'd have imagined they'd be exceptionally leery about doing. If they did, though, I'd be really interested to see where they take it. It could be a really neat story.
I can see the takeaway of the image being training is understandable, considering they look like they're in a location to, you know, train. It's just the open flames look a tad more deadly than training. My takeaway was always that Sajan was training and the other attacked him for some reason... or she was in the way, due to some adventure Sajan was on... or they were training together, and kibitzing, but then they learned they were on opposite sides of something serious, and it got stepped up a notch. But that's just me and my take-away(s). :)

Well, now he has to prove to her that his friendship with Lini is not like that. :)

Yeah this one !
Nothing is specified but they are fighting in a training room (you can see sandbags on the left) and it's the chapter about combat schools, so it's hard to think it is something else than training ...
