So a contest for alpha access only open to folks who already had alpha access on the alpha forums... but the first word us non-Alpha folks get is "These are the winners!"
A bit odd, but ok. I guess its in the same line of reasoning as beta folks getting extra keys for their friends.
All the same, congratz everyone.

We were told quite a while ago that one of the first expansions would be Alpha supporters getting access keys to spread around.
The prize isn't actually the access, it's getting to invite one of your friends in.

They are rewarding people who paid up $1000+ to help with the development of the game by allowing them to invite some friends. I'm extremely appreciative of the people who backed at this level because they contributed in such a massive way. With reasonable confidence I'd suggest GW are too.

That's fine. I appreciate their contribution as well. I just found the announcing of winners "here" as opposed to "there" without us knowing about the contest a bit odd.
I pay pretty close attention to the boards and thought that I might have missed something.
Again, it was the announcement of the winners to a contest I knew nothing about that I found curious... not the audience to which the contest was open to.

Hahaha nice!
Thanks for the congrats, the picture I posted was just of me in a wizard cosplay with all of the pdfs that I own, with my four favorite adventure paths (Kingmaker, Council of Thieves, Skull & Shackles, and Age of Worms) from Paizo, as well as a sun/moon screen shot of Alpha.
Not sure Age of Worms counts, but god I loved that Adventure Path.

Okay, sorry for the misunderstanding. The contest only ran for about 1 to 1.5 days I think, so it was pretty short, my guess is that it was a last minute decision to do it.

No apology needed. After rereading my post a few times I see how it can come off the wrong way.

Right. And there are quite a few of us that initially had the "What!? There was a contest for Alpha Access!?" *cue legions of mad fans scrambling to find out about this mystery contest* reaction which is understandable.
My point is Alpha Contest winners can be interpretted as a contest for Alpha (access) or for Alpha (participants). No ones fault clearly, just something to keep in mind.
GW as a whole has been awesome throughout this entire process and you are no exception Bonny. Thanks for everything you do!
