Congrats, but who are they?

Check the T7V Forums if you haven't lately.

When/where was this contest announced?

Goblin Squad Member

1. Nihimon
2. Darcnes
3. Cheatle

@Areks, this was on the alpha forums.

Goblin Squad Member

Seems the winners are:

1) Nihimon
2) Darcnes
3) Cheatle

Sounds as if the contest was on the Alpha boards.

Goblin Squad Member

Nice Nihimon, now you get to RP a confused Santa Claus giving awesome gifts in the middle of summer! Bet you don't have a module for that...

Goblin Squad Member

So a contest for alpha access only open to folks who already had alpha access on the alpha forums... but the first word us non-Alpha folks get is "These are the winners!"

A bit odd, but ok. I guess its in the same line of reasoning as beta folks getting extra keys for their friends.

All the same, congratz everyone.

We were told quite a while ago that one of the first expansions would be Alpha supporters getting access keys to spread around.

The prize isn't actually the access, it's getting to invite one of your friends in.

@-Aet- Areks

They are rewarding people who paid up $1000+ to help with the development of the game by allowing them to invite some friends. I'm extremely appreciative of the people who backed at this level because they contributed in such a massive way. With reasonable confidence I'd suggest GW are too.

That's fine. I appreciate their contribution as well. I just found the announcing of winners "here" as opposed to "there" without us knowing about the contest a bit odd.

I pay pretty close attention to the boards and thought that I might have missed something.

Again, it was the announcement of the winners to a contest I knew nothing about that I found curious... not the audience to which the contest was open to.

Goblin Squad Member

Hahaha nice!

Thanks for the congrats, the picture I posted was just of me in a wizard cosplay with all of the pdfs that I own, with my four favorite adventure paths (Kingmaker, Council of Thieves, Skull & Shackles, and Age of Worms) from Paizo, as well as a sun/moon screen shot of Alpha.

Not sure Age of Worms counts, but god I loved that Adventure Path.

Goblin Squad Member

Areks you aren't the only one. I was thinking I missed something.

I saw this and I was thinking "why is this the first I've heard of this" and now I see apparently it was a contest on the alpha servers, they would have gotten more entries if it had been public.

@Bonny

What contest? First I hear of it! :)

Anywhoo, congrats to the winners of the "hidden behind the shadows" mystery contest. :)

Grats to you guys!

Yes, but the point is for it to be one of the perks of being an Alpha supporter. They're trying to make sure people are happy with having put down $1000 dollars.

Okay, sorry for the misunderstanding. The contest only ran for about 1 to 1.5 days I think, so it was pretty short, my guess is that it was a last minute decision to do it.

Goblin Squad Member

grats all.

Goblin Squad Member

It was originally announced Tuesday afternoon. I didn't see it until Wednesday morning, though, since Tuesday night was spent with the family.

Grats :-)

No apology needed. After rereading my post a few times I see how it can come off the wrong way.

I know it's late Bonny, but I sent you an email on Alpha access granted from one of these winners. If you are still up can you take a look?

Right. And there are quite a few of us that initially had the "What!? There was a contest for Alpha Access!?" *cue legions of mad fans scrambling to find out about this mystery contest* reaction which is understandable.

My point is Alpha Contest winners can be interpretted as a contest for Alpha (access) or for Alpha (participants). No ones fault clearly, just something to keep in mind.

GW as a whole has been awesome throughout this entire process and you are no exception Bonny. Thanks for everything you do!
