So I'm running with a group that's mostly melee. They lack CC and support right now so I'm rolling sorcerer. Decided on Arcane bloodline. Looking at the race Samsaran because I love the fluff of it.
I'm stuck on "Mystic past Life". What class and spells would be best to pick with this ability? If I'm reading it right, I pick 5 + INT spells from another class spell list and add them to my spell list.
What spells/class would be best for a purely support/control sorcerer? I'm thinking of going Bard/Alchemist to pick up spells like lesser restoration, Heal, etc.

"Mystic Past Life (Su): You can add spells from another spellcasting class to the spell list of your current spellcasting class. You add a number of spells equal to 1 + your spellcasting class's key ability score bonus (Wisdom for clerics, and so on). The spells must be the same type (arcane or divine) as the spellcasting class you're adding them to. For example, you could add divine power to your druid class spell list, but not to your wizard class spell list because divine power is a divine spell. These spells do not have to be spells you can cast as a 1st-level character. The number of spells granted by this ability is set at 1st level. Changes to your ability score do not change the number of spells gained. This racial trait replaces shards of the past."
Not 5+int but your Spell casting stat for a arcane sorcerer that is Cha.
Summoner is a very popular choice but witch and bard also have spells that you May want.
Edit: alchemist dosent have any spells for this trait to let you use.

With sage bloodline it will be int yes but still only 1+int bonus.
But anyway summoner list is good for cheasy getting spells a level early.
Bard is good fore some buff and repair spells. Witch is good for the getting some repair and druid feel spells.
Edit: and remember the spells goes to your class list not your spells known list. They have to picked seperatly for that. I am sure you know but i just wanted to mention it.

I'm not sure what levels you are playing this as but if you are playing it where you start having access to 5th or 6th level spells expect the book to be thrown. Mystic past life gives arcane casters access to 8th and 9th level spell equivalents starting around level 9. Because the spells are actually lower level they can even have metamagic added to them where previously they never could. If taken to the extreme mystic past life is probably one of the most broken possible character builds in the pathfinder system.
Here's a link to a previous thread about some options:

Summoner alone has access to creating demiplanes, mazes, dominate monster, greater planar binding, protection from spells etc. Even something such as greater dispel magic can suddenly be quickened on a reduced list. An ordinary spellcaster can never duplicate the effects of this racial ability in a game and it should be carefully used.

If you are going to play a Samsaran Sorcerer, you should specialize in damaging spells. The alternate favored class bonus allows you to reduce the level increase on metamagic feats by one per 4 levels you spend on it. By 8th level you can Empower every fireball you cast for FREE. By 16th level you can cast two spells per round all day long since you can Quicken a spell each round with no level increase!

That's from a 3rd Party source.
