A simple query really, but honestly I'm curious. Even numbered stats have the benefit of giving you that solid mod right at the start. Whereas an odd number gives you the satisfaction of knowing that you can level it up at one of the 4th interval levels.
I personally like making three of my main stats odd. Because I like to set it up so that on levels 4, 8 and 12 I'm gonna get a brand new modifier number. It just lets me down when I level up and just get halfway to a new mod instead of just getting a full mod. Also there's the points you save in a point buy when going with a 17 instead of an 18 that can be put into other places.
What do you peoples prefer?

Depends on the starting level. At level 1 I often take a 17 rather than a 18 because it is so much cheaper and for the first levels the lower stats are usually not that big of a problem.
If I start at level 4 it is even more common for me to go that way.
Only if I start near to level 8 or even higher I start with the even high stat.
Apart from that I often have dex or int 13 because it is just one more point and opens up some feats.

I do a mix. I generally do odd on my key primary stats and even on the secondary ones. The secondaries tend to be around the acceptable minimum range while my odds tend to be as close to maximized as possible.
The reason for this is that on a point buy, purchasing an 18 is super expensive but purchasing a 17 is cheaper and putting my +2 on the 17 and waiting until 4th level is more efficient at having a 20 than other methods.
It also means that I don't have to worry about training my secondary stats at a later date. They're even and already where I want them. Any increases to them can come from gear which will always give me another bonus since it is a +2 I'd be gaining. So far this system has worked very well for me.
