At the moment we seem to have a new thread for each company, which is a little hard to search through if, like me, you're coming in solo and looking for somewhere to call home.
It would be nice if there were a central recruiting thread with basic details of all the companies who are looking for members, perhaps in some kind of standardized format - alignment, goals, desired terrain (since that will probably feed into favoured classes) and association with other guilds seem like the basic details I'd be interested in.
Is there such a thing already? If not, can there please be?

Sure, Nihimon keeps a running list of the guilds that have announced themselves.

Yeah - I've said a couple times that it'd be nice to have a settlement/company/recruiting subforum since half the threads around here are people bumping their own recruiting threads. Some companies even have multiple threads they bump.
A glance at the Guild Rush Leaderboard is a decent place to start, though there are other lists floating around here as well.
Let me just pick a guild here at random...Magistry as an example actually looks pretty cool!

Hi Stefan.
Yeah, it's difficult to sort through.
We do have lists by alignment and categories (e.g. 'international', 'roleplaying', 'trade', et cetera) to the best that I have been able to determine them. Nihimon has a good overview of all the 'guilds' and general information about the game.
There isn't a breakdown by desired terrain because only a few guilds have specified this... likely because the land rush mechanics may make it difficult to anticipate what type of terrain a group will end up in.
I'm only aware of two strong 'guild associations' thus far: the Roseblood Accord and the 'Empire of Xeilias' from the Pax gaming community. Xeilias currently consists of Pax Aeternum for neutral characters and Pax Golgotha for evil characters. They plan to have a third wing, Pax Fidelis, for good characters, but that group is not participating in the land rush due to complex rules and politics which I do not care to understand.

Hi Stefan, let me assuage your worries and let you know we are working on it. Right now there isn't an ideal source for all this, and all the staff is surely swamped so a number of us are working to try and assemble all the relevant data and make it easily available for those with recruitment needs.
This however takes time.

I would like to note that Aragon (CN) is a settlement that is open to all three alignments:
CN = The UnNamed Company
CG = The Vigilant
CE = To be Announced
As of now, since CN can include all three alignments, these are currently divisions within the UnNamed Company and will be separate chartered companies when their own numbers warrant that complete autonomy.
This is not to say that the Vigilant will not guide itself in its own direction. I'm just saying, as a fledgling charter company it comes under a larger umbrella of protection, guidance and concept.

At first I thought "To be Announced" was a weird name for a CE company but thinking about it, I see the logic. Too chaotic to have decided on a name yet, and evil enough not to tell you when they are coming. Good call, Bludd :)

I wouldn't leap to any decisions. Many of us are just getting our feet under us. My own crew won't even be finding time to get their pledge stuff complete until later this weekend or next week. I think You'll see an awful lot happen before June 1st.
I set up Erastil's Irregulars http://erastilsirregulars.tumblr.com/ yesterday purely to get in sooner in the event of ties. By the time we're done shaping it, I expect it to be relatively neutral. With an eye toward cooperation. The core on my end will be a group of long-term tabletop gamers (we've been a regular group since the early 80s) who are all keen RPers, and will probably work to emulate Erastil's ideals. Our immediate group is likely to lean toward good, but will be accepting of anyone who doesn't cause too much trouble.

Must be hard to keep that list up to date. I've just got back into the office half hour ago and discovered something like 10 new guilds have joined the land rush since I got up this morning. 85 at this count.
Wonder how many will still be around in 2 weeks time when they realize that the smaller groups have no chance of getting a settlement and how many will keep plugging away regardless?
