Was wondering if anyone can point me at a source book that has a picture of Iomedae in a pose where she isn't in armour? She can be resplendent and awesome, just not portrayed like she is about to chop a demons head off, you know contemplative of how she will chop a demons head off is cool, just you know not brandishing her sword menacingly.

What David said. Iomedae's faith is the one 'leading the charge' in not one but TWO crusades: Lastwall against the Whispering Tyrant (and Orcs from Belkzen) and Mendev against the Worldwound. War is her business and, well, business is booming. I just can't wait for those two crusades to end and they decide to turn the focus onto Cheliax <.<

There isn't any, and there probably won't be any.
I asked a similar question on James Jacobs' thread about Nocticula's hairstyle. He replied that style of dress of Paizo's characters in artwork is part of their "look," to help readers recognize the character immediately. It's why superheroes always wear costumes: despite differences in style between different artists, you can always tell which character is Batman.

I guess I was thinking of her, in her armour, looking for beatific, bestowing a blessing on a crusader, or with some divine radiance emanating from her as she presides over her court in heaven.
As for the wink wink nudge nudge art people are talking about, unsurprisingly their are a number of that kind of thing over at deviant art. Taking one of the classic images and then redrawing the body in a more Heavy Metal style armour.

Another option is to search for images of 'Joan of Arc', or 'Saint Joan', since that is clearly the visual inspiration.
You should get action shots, mixed with contemplative scenes.

How about the Ascension of Iomedae?
Did she ascend via asceticism? Goddess needs a burger before her waist disappears completely.

It's her nature it's what she is. She's Iomedae the Crusader, not the Barbie Bikini model. She may not brandish her sword when she appears to her worshippers, but she'll always, eternally be fighting the good fight.
She can't not wear her armor anymore than the Phoenix put out it's own flames.

That's a bunch of artists masturbating on the web.. Of course you're going to see images like that out of sheer contrariness. The folks who write her story however have a better sense of consistency than that. You're not going to see a Paizo published story where she's anything but the Crusader, because that's what her godhood rests on. Aroden chose her as her Herald because she was an uber-Crusader as a mortal without most of the failings and ego of her fellow Crusaders. In becoming a god, that aspect of her was magnified to the extent of burning all others out. That's the price of becoming a god... you're not really a full person the way mortals are. You're an embodied concept to the exclusion of all else.
"These others they're all pretending to be Gods. I look at you Yama, and I see Death."
Sam to Yama "Lord of Light".

Then again, at least two pieces of porn artful erotica did turn out to be canon in the end. ;)
Though some details may be embellishments...
And yet the greatest fan art couple has yet to be canonized. :( Valerijka needs to happen.

How about the Ascension of Iomedae?
Man I'm hoping Carolina Eade's work shows up in the Inner Sea Gods book. :)

Didn't Iomedae's mortal armor melt during her Ascension? That's the beef her church has with the Pathfinder Society, They stole the remains and aren't planning on returning it. They were interested because it was the only known case of anything physically remaining after an Ascension. (of course the fact that the Church of the Starstone is practically down the block from Pathfinder HQ, helped. :)

That's probably what happens on the very next 'frame' - and so probably can't be reproduced without it looking like a sticky-wet-metal-fetish-shot. And that's not the tone Pathfinder would like, in all likelihood.
Although, now this comment is on the internet, Rule 34 may well be invoked...

PASTIES?
I'm not up on the nu slang you young 'uns have these days...
Pasties are, um, basically stickers (or equivalent items of other materials) that cover a woman's nipples but little else. They are often worn by strippers, at least in media depictions of such (I didn't see any the one time I went to a strip club...).
I can't believe I just needed to explain that in a thread about Iomedae...

Go home for the weekend, and your thread apparently goes to the bar, or strip club.
There was a particular scene in a particular AP, that portrayed her bless not crusading, I did misspeak in the first post when I said no armour, but it is really the lack of rage face that was important:
After the wardstone is destroyed, the next time the PCs rest, they have a singular, shared dream in which a scarred but beautiful woman dressed in plate armor visits them and thanks them for their kindness and service before apologizing for the fact that she cannot help them in the future. Yet she can grant them a token of her gratitude, and kisses each dreaming PC on the brow.
I think the image I went with, which isn't publicly available to my knowledge, fits the bill.

So, nothing to do with Cornish Pasties then? That's a relief!
I should've guessed from the Witchblade reference if I'm honest - Michael Turner probably gets the blame for that, although I'm sad now that I've googled and found out that he's dead...

It's one of her few non-combat moments.

Just so you know, that's not gonna be nearly as fun (but a lot funnier) as you seem to think it is.

Hey, you never know. Gorum might see an uptick in conversions from such art...
I mean, Amiri has needs too...

Yes, but apparently Gorum is the armor, and I don't think seeing a suit of spikey Full Plate in furry briefs is gonna do much for her.

Maybe she has armour for/on special occasions. Who are you to judge, hmm?
