Marathon Voter Season 7

Hello all,
While I've play Pathfinder (and that other RPG game) for a few decades, I confess that I don't spend much time on this board. I'm here at the moment since I've entered the RPG Superstar for the first time and just having fun with it. That said, I apologize if this or something like this has been brought up before/elsewhere.
There are quite a few good entries in this contest. I imagine there have been many over the past several years. I also imagine that most entries that are eliminated (especially after the first round) are pretty good.
Has Paizo thought about compiling those into a hardback book and perhaps putting up a Kickstarter or something? I mean, the material is there...have a few artists flesh a few things out and I think you'd have a product the Paizo community could get behind.
I would hate to hear that those great items, monsters, encounters, etc. are simply sitting on some back-up hard drive. I imagine some will make their way into future products, but why not compile them in one source?
Thoughts?

The answer has generally been no to this. Even compiling the winning or best entries still requires time to compile, edit, organize and develop all of the entries. Then there would have be art orders, layout and all that fun stuff.
In general, Paizo would rather dedicate their staff to the actual products in their schedule than something like this. As it is, they can't keep up with their release schedule already. Adding a product like this would simply eat more time from already over-worked staff.
Maybe they will eventually find that they have enough material to reconsider this stance.
That said, some previous top 32 items appeared in Ultimate Equipment, so a great monster or encounter might find itself in a Bestiary or adventure some day. A few items have also been scattered into modules over the years, usually by their original author.

Looks like some of the content from previous rounds is making it to Tears at Bitter Manor.
"Tears at Bitter Manor" includes not only Steven Helt’s winning adventure, but also a plethora of new monsters and magic items submitted by other contestants!
I think I remember reading that would be the plan for this year too.

This gets asked every year, and while cool Eric H is right...to take time to publish a book of RPG Super Star stuff would cut into the time needed to keep the other products on schedule. Besides...all of its already on line anyway so they don't need to put it into a book. There used to be an Art Thread where people were offering to draw custom charters and such. I had someone do a neat sketch of my Goblin's Strand of Ears item from the first year. Do a search, if there are still artists drawing you might be able to "commission" a sketch of some of your favorite RPG Swag to show at your table.

Oh, cool. That's actually really awesome. Looking forward to this even more now.

I think I read that wrong. Might need a comma, as cool as I know I am, I doubt that was intended as an adjective for me...

i once sold a pitch and a bible for a t.v show to a production company so they would NOT make my T.V. show, because they had to get mine out of the pitch round because a similar enough to not take chances pitch had just been purchased. they produced that other show with a few ideas from my bible.
That sucks. At least you got paid before your ideas vanished down the black hole of intellectual property law.
