I'm currently GM'ing this adventure path; the players are about halfway through book one. Given the massive amount of history the players will be exposed to about Ancient Thassilon, I've been trying to find music that expresses the awesome power and terrifying majesty of that lost empire but haven't found anything that quite fits.
Have any other GM's used any music to help encapsulate the feel of the Thassilonian relics and locations, or have any other suggestions to try?

I'd take a look at Planescape: Torment's soundtrack. To me, Thassilon's artifacts and sites should feel very ominous and disconcerting. Like you've left the rules of your world behind.

My main Thassilon playlist includes stuff from the following soundtracks:
The Lords of Salem, Tron Legacy, Curse of the Golden Flower, 300, Prometheus, The Mummy (and the Mummy Returns), Oblivion, Hammer of the Gods, Wrath of the Titans, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, and Season of the Witch.
I was trying to evoke feelings of grandeur, desolation, age, mystery, epic-ness, and unusual technologies/magics.
I make playlists for pretty much every major location in a game I GM. The playlist for the dungeons in the Crow is different from the playlist to the dungeons in the Lady's Light, for instance, despite them both being Thassilonian. I spend far too much time making these playlists. But I love it.

I'd use the classic "The Rivers of Thassilon", of course!
Ye-eah we wept, when Xin made the Sihedron. (x2)
When the Runelords
Carried us away in captivity
Required from us a song
Now how shall we sing the Varisians' song in a strange land (x2)
By the rivers of Thassilon, there we sat down
Ye-eah we wept, when Xin made the Sihedron. (x5)
.... what?
