At GenCon, I got (among others) Boon 11, Nexavarian Requisition. It gives a few options for obtaining a weapon of made of nexavarian steel. That material isn't in Ultimate Equipment, or any of my other sourcebooks (that I can find). The OGC site doesn't have an entry for it either. The boon implies that nexavarian steel is identical to cold iron, excepting that adding enchantments increases the price by 3000gp (so it appears to be worse than cold iron). My GMs weren't familiar with nexavarian steel either. Does anyone know what sourcebook has it?
thanks,

Nexavarian steel is also, I believe, the material that powers the wardstones on the border of Mendev and the Worldwound, which may or may not come up later in season 5...
For the record, there was a recent answer on this in the Ask-JJ thread:
Ugh... Yeah, I had a conversation at the Con with someone about this. This is an unfortunate case of someone writing up a boon without realizing we've essentially retconned Nexavar out of the campaign setting for being a FAR to convenient mechanism to explain why the demons are stuck in the Worldwound and also marginalizing the crusaders' accomplishments in holding the line by having a far-too-convenient deus ex machina in the rivers surrounding the Worldwound.
I took Nexavar out of the setting because it weakened the crusaders' accomplishments, felt too lazy in world design, and simply wasn't as interesting as having the demons and crusaders rely on other means that weren't completely circumstantial, almost accidental developments that just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I got this one myself and nobody could figure out what the deal was, yeah.. A +1 Cold Iron Longsword would be 2000+2000+316 for 4316 gold. A +1 Nexavarian Steel would be 5316. So spending 12 prestige on it, with each prestige having a rough value of 375 gold per point, would be a total cost of 4500g. In theory you save 816 gold by doing that, but.. why not just use cold iron if it's the exact same thing?
I can't imagine they'll change the boon though, unfortunately.

Umm, it should be noted that the 3000gp cost to enchant Nexavarian Steel only applies to the 1st time it is enchanted, not everytime it is enchanted. So, if you spend the 12 prestige points to get the +1 version, since it has already has been enchanted to +1, that 3000gp cost must have already been paid.

Nexavarian steel has the benefit that it is really cheap. So for those non-enchanted back-up weapons, it is rather good.
A masterwork cold iron weapon is nice to have, either as a main weapon at the low levels, or as a back-up weapon a bit higher up.
And when you get that +3 weapon, you just throw all your cold iron and silver weapons out like yesterday's paper.
On that note, is damage reduction still a SU ability? Because if it isn't affected my anti-magic fields, and I can't find any place that says it is, then you might want to hold on to those masterwork cold iron and alchemical silver weapons, even after you get that +3 weapon.

Also Nexavarian Steel costs 1.5x the cost of the item, instead of 2x the cost of the item. A +1 cold iron longsword would run 4330gp: 2000 for the =1, 2000 for the cold iron enchantment penalty, 300 of MW and 30 for it being a cold iron long sword (15gp x 2). A +1 Nexavarian Steel longsword would be 5322.5gp. I know, I know, nitpicking. ;)
Really the only use for this boon would be for a first level PC who wants to save a little starting cash while being able to still overcome cold iron DR. Depending on what you purchase, it could be a handful of gp which could make the difference between being able to afford that alchemist fire or not (i.e. - a cold iron greatsword would run 100gp, but a nexavarian steel greatsword would run you 75gp).

Yea, I saw James Jacobs answer the question I asked about this here. I guess it *used* to be the metal inside the Wardstones, before retcon, heh.

Unless there is something in the boon I'm missing, you can't SPEND multiple PP for cash value of one item in PFS.
2 PP can be spent for 1 item that costs 750 gp, or less. You cannot spend 8 PP to buy 1 item that costs 3000 gp or less.
Carry on.

My paladin of Torag used this to get himself a +1 weapon, and to be honest the name itself sounds insanely cool.
Now I'm gonna put merciful, and holy on it at some point. Over all, it saved me a ton of money from having to buy a weapon and that can go right toward's getting the first above and beyond enchant.
