what is highest dpr you can get at level 10 with any pathfinder material (not third party) i need to keep up with the damage the Synthesist in my group does.

Grand Lodge

First synthesist really does top the charts (though in two levels the CaGM barbarian competes rather well) most of the time, but why do you need to compete?

Well, DPR has to be measured against something, with rules for the build, and averaged using base rolls, so may I suggest using a young adult black dragon (AC 25, T 10, FF 24, CMD 30, Fort 12, Ref 9, Will 10, DR 5/Magic, 126 hp), a 20 point build with WBL level 10 (62k gp), and all dice rolls at an average (d20 = 10/11/10/11, d12 = 6.5, d10 = 5.5, d8 = 4.5, d6 = 3.5, d4 = 2.5) and critical damage be factored in as a percentage of the total damage when factoring in the target AC?

I'll assume that's a yes, and work on some builds...

well i like being a frontliner and me and him compete alot

You gonna be facing similar enemies most of the time?

all evil?

well my group is mostly evil. were playing kingmaker btw

I'm sorry, the d20 should be a percentage chance to hit target ac to figure out the average DPR. Duh...

Depending on your friends built most og the Martial classes can keep up on damage but they all loose out on desense an versatility.
If DPR is all that matters then a beast totem barbarian(1/2ork with bite and claws or any race with a Big Axe) is a good suggestion. But if you want to measure up on all fronts i suggest you look at a wildshape focused half ork(favored class bonus on ac) druid High str, ok dex con and Wisdom. It may not beat the summoner but it will have a chance.

Edit: sorry for the mess i am on the phone.

I'm ignoring any stats that aren't necessary for the build's damage output, and skipping any feats/abilities that don't affect the build.

Gendarme Beast Rider Order of the Sword Cavalier

Lance Ryder:
Race: Human (Orc is actually better for damage, slightly, but it's a huge penalty everywhere else, so mostly I'll stick with human)

Stats: Str 26 (18 base + 4 Belt + 2 level bonus + 2 Racial)

Feats/Abilities:
1:Mounted Combat
1h:Ride by Attack
1b:Power Attack
1a:Challenge, Mount
3:Spirited Charge
5:Weapon Focus
4 or 7a:Elephant mount! (str 22)
8a:Mounted Mastery

Equipment:
Belt of Giant Strength +4, +4 Lance

This build is made to line up, charge, and do massive damage in one hit. It can use the challenge ability 4 times per day.

DPR: 101.175 (or 129.675 challenging) with critical bonus damage being 3.55 (or 4.55 challenging). Max avg dpr = 134.225

High Crit Barbarian

Slash Smash:
Race: Human

Stats: Str 30 (18 base + 4 Belt + 2 level bonus + 2 Racial + 4 Raging)

Feats/Abilities:
1:Power Attack
1h:Weapon Focus
2a:Beast Totem (this isn't for damage, but you want pounce)
3:Combat Reflexes (not figured in, but trust me, all barbarians want this)
4a:Elemental Rage, Lesser
8a:elemental Rage, Greater
9:Improved Critical

+3 Furious Falchion, Belt of Giant Strength +4

This build benefits most from lots of AO's. There are many ways to get these as a barbarian. However, just the standard attack pattern is very strong. I'm assuming you get haste here, because if not get haste anyway.

DPR with criticals figured in = 114.84

I'll try to find time to lay down more builds soon.

wow i really like your builds halfing barbarian

Shadow Lodge

For your enjoyment.

I'd have a look at the DPR summer olympics thread if I were you. That's full off damage focused level 10 characters.

I also have a build of my own, which I put together a few days ago for another thread:

Pouncy Tiger:

Human, alignment: neutral
1 urban barbarian / 4 druid / 1 weapon master fighter / 1 master of many styles / 3 fighter
Take the growth domain as a druid, for some extra power before wild shape kicks in.
Traits: magical knack; adopted -> enlightened warrior
Ability scores: Str 15 +2 race +2 levels +4 belt, dex 14, con 14, int 8, wis 14 +2 headband, cha 10

Feats:
1. power attack, extra rage
3. toughness
5. shaping focus
6. weapon focus claws
7. improved unarmed strike, stunning fist, dragon style, dragon ferocity
8. feral combat training: claws
9. snake style
10. martial versatility: feral combat training

Equipment at level 10: +4 str belt, +2 amulet of mighty fists, boots of speed, +1 ring of protection, druid's vestments, +2 cloak of resistance, +2 wis headband, wand of mage armor.

Attack routine at level 10 while in dire tiger form and raging:
(bab 8, str +10, AoMF +2/+2, size -1, WF claws +1, weapon training claws +1/+1, power attack -3/+6, haste +1)

Full attack: claw +18 (2d4+32), bite +16 (2d6+23), 2 claws +18 (2d4+24)
Pounce: claw +20 (2d4+32), bite +18 (2d6+23), 4 claws +20 (2d4+24)

AC 25 (10 +4 mage armor +1 dex -1 size +3 barkskin +4 natural +3 wis +1 ring)
Saves: fort +16, ref +7, will +12
HP: 90

DPR against AC 25: full attack = 88.7, charge = 150.6

You could also get planar wild shape (instead of snake style) to be able to add smite damage equal to your HD once a day, for a total DPR on a pounce of 199.9. That's total overkill though, which is why I went for snake style, to help his average AC a bit.

My next favorite is fun, and you won't like him when he's angry...

Barbarian 1/Ragechemist Alchemist 7/Master Chymist 2

Dr. Jenkins/Mr. Hydra:
Human

Stats: Str 38 (20 base + 4 rage + 6 belt + 2 levels + 6 mutagen

1: Rage; Power Attack, weapon focus
2: Mutagen
3: Rage Mutagen, Feral Mutagen, Iron Will (you want this to avoid the downside of rage mutagen).
5: Multiattack
7:Extra Discovery (Wings)

Equipment: Belt of Giant Strength +6, Amulet of Mighty Fists +2

Notes: If the DM allows the tentacle to be used in the natural attack progression, get it, and by the gods have haste.

Attack progression: 2 Bites +22 1d8+16, 2 Claws +22 1d6+16, Tentacle +20 1d4+9

DPR (no crit figured in/negligable) = 81.2

This isn't as impressive, except that you pick up brutality at level 11, which adds +2 - +6 damage to all natural attacks, and the build continues to go up in strength and caps at 50. It's one of the best damaging gish builds I've come up with.

That includes the elephant attacks?

Maybe a tiger is better, it should have str 20, but pounces with 3 to 5 additional attacks and the human can have a banner with +4 morale bonus charge attack at level 10. With charger animal archetype he gets half the challenge bonus, a +4 to hit/ +5 dam pouncing tiger could make up the lost ST of elephant.

Human Vivisectionist 10

Against AC 25 -> 62.5 DPR

So, yay, you are about equal to an decently optimized fighter, but if you get into a flanking position.......

Flanking against AC 25 -> 159.4 DPR

Oh, and you have the ability to use poisons, so if you want to coat your blades in something nasty or you can add the Preservationist Archtype, and you can summon your own flanking buddies.

I wonder why Vivisectionists were banned from PFS Organized play....

Seeing as how you're going to use ride by attack in real situations I didn't see it as viable to include. But that is very true, go with a pouncer if you want a truely one hit wonder.

Ride by attacks are in many dungeons not possible, while a single charge is often possible.

Aasimar Gunslinger3/Bard7.

Buffs swift inspire only, +3 weapon. +2 Dex belt, +4 Cha headband. 24k gold unspent.

Targets touch AC, 3 attacks, avg DPR vs this particular black dragon example ~147 per round. Assuming 50% Fort Save Rate. Single attack surprise round avg DPR ~107.

Cons, low HP, close range. Grit required for each round spent thus, (but usually always replenished by a killing blow each time).
