New website buttons?

Website Feedback

Sovereign Court

I like, I like. Much easier to press from my smartphone.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Yeah, we are very very very slowly dragging this website into the 21st century.

Could you pull it back a little bit?

I would much, much rather have recent messageboard thread links on the left side in the online campaign section (like it used to be, and like the regular messageboard section still has) than to have store links on the right side of the campaign posts.

That's actually an unrelated bug which we'll look into.

Okay, thanks! I'm happy to hear that was unintentional :)

The Exchange

Bug, time to get the RAID!

Yeah, things look nice. Thanks!

The Reply button for Messages and the Edit button on Wishlists do not work for me.

Paizo Employee PostMonster General

ThorGN, I'm having difficulty duplicating that problem. What browser are you using?

Paizo Employee PostMonster General

Campaigns should now be properly omitting the right sidebar.

One problem

This looks weird:

spoiler buttons

This is probably Chrome problem. Firefox centers the Show better than Chrome.

EDIT: I wanted to write exactly about that when I opened this thread.

Yeah, Hide is centered but Show is right-aligned in Chrome.

Joana wrote:

I don't think it's right-aligned. It looks to me like the Chrome instead of centering the text, enforced a fixed left margin, which, due to the box size, makes the text crash into right end of the box.

Paizo Employee PostMonster General

It's not just Chrome, we're investigating.

I see that now. It's just that on Chrome the problem is more visible than on Firefox, at least for me.

Just to note - on Opera it looks like on FF - not as visible as on Chrome but present (Windows 7, 1280x800).

The buttons should display pretty close to the same between different browsers now. The spoiler buttons will change in width, but the text shouldn't be "hopping" anymore.

In IE9, at least, the buttons are now almost nonexistant (with no text at all).

Look more or less the same now on Chrome, Firefox and Opera.

I discovered this as well, it looks like there's some sort of wonkiness with IE. It's being investigated.

UPDATE: I've found this cause of this behavior, but it looks like it will impact the display everywhere. Should be fixed this afternoon.

I still don't like the hide and show buttons. They change size when you click them and it's kind of annoying.

Maybe there could be an option to set a fixed width of the button, wide enough for the longer text to fit?

Digital Products Assistant

IE should be displaying the buttons now.

I am using IE 8. The buttons are almost non-existent, if I did not know where to look for them by memory, I would be completely lost.

They're just tiny little empty boxes. Spoiler buttons in posts are even smaller.

I liked the way the buttons were before... "Functioning" is the most visually appealing style of all.

Sczarni

Using Firefox with windows 7 the edit button on the list page just refreshes the page.

Also Using my Droid 3 default browser, the submit post button doesn't work.

Dark Archive

Now if you could just move the stop following "x" away from the (# new) display so I can stop accidentally hitting it when I fat-finger the thread on my phone.

Seems to be working now, thanks.

try ing to post from my phone again...... Edit it worked

I like the new buttons too, for the phone related comments earlier except that I'm using a tablet.

Wishlist and regular empty list “Edit” button doesn’t work for me.

Tried with InternetExplorer 7 and FireFox 14, then updated to Windows XP pro 64bit SP2 and installed FireFox 20 (latest) – still don’t work, page refreshes and just a number in the address bar right before “StandardPageTemplate” keeps going up.

Do we have to wait a while longer or what?

Sczarni

Note: useing Firefox 20.0.1 on a Windows XP machine, I can't click on any of the message board in the PFS Coordinator boards it brings me to paizo.com/pathfinder.
Just tested with the android phone, and it does the same thing

Garret, this was happening to me too, if you right click on the edit button and click open in a new tab, it seemed to work

Thanks. That actually works.

Just what do you think you're doing, Gary?

I believe I am using IE 8. The 'Make Changes' button in the Pathfinder Society section of My Account also does nothing.

Actually, if I go into My Society from the PFS forums, none of the buttons work. 'Edit' for characters, 'Download ID Card', etc.

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16

Editing of wishlists does not seem to be working. I don't know if it is related to the new edit button, seems likely.

If you right click the button and click open in a new tab or open in a new window, you can edit

The Download link for Pathfinder Character Traits Web Enhancement is not working for me.

This has been corrected and you should be able to download properly now.

Grand Lodge

The "View Cart" button for me is not working... :-(

Pathfinder Maps, Pathfinder Accessories Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Charter Superscriber; Starfinder Charter Superscriber

To my sense of aesthetics, the buttons are a bit too high, vertically, especially when theay appiear next to text, such as the Spoiler button.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Charter Superscriber

New buttons look good. Is there anyway to make the hover-over slightly more different? It can be difficult to know if I have actually clicked on the button or not. THanks!

Using Firefox 20.0.1

We're probably done for now with tweaking the styling of the buttons, but they're part of an ongoing effort to improve the website so next time it comes up we'll take another look at the styling.

Shadow Lodge

The old buttons still display when you go to delete a post.
