We'll be starting at 5th level and have the following array available:
18 16 14 12 10 8 before racial adjustments. We have a Monk, a master Summoner, and two wavering PCs. I've played almost exclusively core classes and here's my chance to try something exotic. Suggestions?
You can play just about anything with those stats. Anything. An Inquisitor could be run very successfully off of those stats so you could have good physical stats for combat, a good wisdom for all the juicy spells and class abilities that need it, and the 8 could get dumped in INT, because you already have a bunch of skill points. I'd probably go STR 18, DEX 12, CON 16, INT 8 (or 10), WIS 14, CHA 10 (or 8).
Cavalier could be good too, since you could put a 12 or 14 in CHA and be a good party face, and Samurai falls into the same boat.

Definitely ranged attackers or casters. The master summoner is going to have the melee end of combat covered, with the monk acting as a high AC gateway, I'd guess. Particularly if he goes maneuver master. That means that anything done at range will be much easier. If the master summoner uses his Eidolon as a trap detector and scout, your party won't need a rogue character as badly, either.
A blaster sorcerer or bomber alchemist would be good DPR for the party, and those stats would fit quite nicely. A druid could also make great use of those stats, either caster or shifter. A caster druid and the summoner would make a great team, as the druid could help buff the summons, monk, and animal companion, while converting spells to nature's ally summons should the summoner run out. The animal companion would of course make a nice bonus to the melee end.
I'd go with the sorcerer/druid pair, but any distance fighter and divine caster/archer would work really well. An archer inquisitor is a good option. Gunslingers are always nice, and certainly fit the damage dealing requirement. A buffer/archer bard would particularly effective if you know your party will be pet and summon heavy. In a less pet/summon party, a mystic theurge would own the battlefield control and buffing departments. (Gunslinger would make a great compliment for that one.)
I'd say work out how the master summoner and monk are going to work together with the party before deciding. Obviously I jumped to a conclusion in how they were going to play. Talk with the players again first, then design your character around what you know of party tactics. If the monk intends to go for damage dealing and doesn't want to shield/grapple or otherwise be area denial, then a cavalier (with tactician and banner that favors large groups) becomes a good choice.
As a side note, I hope your group works something out for the massive amount of summoned creatures that are going to happen (even with just the master summoner's summons and no pets). I'd suggest giving each player a summon, so that the master summoner player doesn't end up taking half the actions of every turn all by himself.

Whenever somebody asks for an idea for something "different" or "interesting," the thread is flooded with advice on playing inquisitors and oracles. It's not different or interesting if the same thing is suggested every single time.
Play a brawler, or a holy gun or a spellslinger, for cryin' out loud. Or just piss everybody off an go for a wizard, but trick his feats out so he wields a huge sword - effectively. Go out on a limb.
Whatever you do, stop taking our advice.

Whatever you do, stop taking our advice.
Does that include not taking our advice to stop taking our advice?
;)
Really, this seems like an odd question. You have the ability scores to play anything you want. Why would you let a bunch of strangers recommend a class to you? What do YOU want to play? Figure out whether you want to play a front-line fighterish type, a mage type, a divine type, a skill-monkey type, or whatever. Then narrow it down to more specific detail - if you figure out the type of character but you're not sure which classes/builds are best at what you want, that might be a good question to ask here; get advice on how to be what you want rather than getting advice on what WE want you to play.

The munchiest thing you can do is play a bard with inspire courage. Don't do that.
Playing a second master summoner would be terribly munchy as well. Don't do that either.
Your stat array isn't broad enough to overcome the monk's problems. Put that on your to not do list as well, no matter how cool it would be to be in a multi-monk party.
Other than that, Post all the other classes and archetypes on a dart board?

Id go Oracle (Nature/Legalistic) 1/ Paladin 2/ Bard (Arcane Duelist) 17 with ur 18 in cha, 16 in str, and 14 in con with the Angle-blooded Aasimar race for the +2 str and cha. The revelation from Oracle's Nature mystery being Nature’s Whispers to use cha instead of dex for calculating CMD and AC. Pick up the Noble Scion: Scion of War feat to use cha instead of dex for initiative. The 20 cha will be giving +5 to all Saves, CMD, AC, and Init and is the main casting stat for bard as well as its performance uses.
