Glamered armor vs clothing

Hi all,

After read description of glamered ability

Quote:

Glamered Enchantment:

Upon command, a suit of glamered armor changes shape and appearance to assume the form of a normal set of clothing. The armor retains all its properties (including weight) when it is so disguised. Only a true seeing spell or similar magic reveals the true nature of the armor when disguised.

a question come to my mind.

Do you need to wear a set of clothing if you already wear glamered armor?

It looks like clothes, but doesn't feel like clothes against your skin. Yes, you still need clothes.

Not if you don't mind chafing. Otherwise, clothing might be important.

Full Plate description explicitly include a layer of padding (assume to avoid chafing).

This layer is not including in rest of medium/ heavy armours?

I don't think anyone in their right mind would wear any form of armor without some padding underneath. I think it is reasonable to assume they all come with such (except padded, which is the padding).

That padding is primarily to keep the metal armor from digging deeply into all your nooks and crannies. You'll still probably chafe.

And now another question is raised: armor padding. How do GMs rule? RAI or RAW? THIS IS IMPORTANT, PEOPLE!

Why would you not want to wear clothes, too? What's the downside of wearing clothes?

Accessibility, and freedom of movement.

Generally, an extra 5 lbs of weight for no reason maybe? I don't know the removal of the 1 free set of clothing thing always made me feel like just not wearing the nicer clothes if I was playing close to the encumbrance edge.

you could just have comfort armor. it's glamored and comfort. it feels nice and breezy, it's clean. light and comfy. it dries itself, and it looks like whatever. perfect. xD

or just by a shirt and some pants you weirdo.

I don't know. I spent two weeks at a naturist resort, and it was damn freeing.

While my naturist experience is limited to times of intoxication, I am going to make the wild guess that very few people there, were wearing full plate...

Makes grappling a succubus more interesting?

Ok.
You have to use clothing with armour, and glamered don´t make armour invisible only change shape and appearance.

Thus conversation like this will be fairly common:

Guard: No weapons or armours allowed
PC with glamered armour: Don´t worry. I only wear normal clothing
Guard: Let me check. Why do you dress two set of clothing?
PC with glamered armour: Eeeeeh …. I´m cold-sensitive?
Guard: Are you kidding me? You carry glamered armour!!!

I was extremely disappointed that the link was to a previous thread instead of to a picture.
