I added (with permission) Tamago's help sheets for #3-13: Defenders of Nesting Swallow.

4/5 ****

I added my overland travel summary for Kortos Envoy. It was even endorsed by the author at PaizoCon this last year.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Added some cartoon NPC portraits for Goblin Guild, endorsed by the author.

Dark Archive 3/5 **

I threw up some trackers for "Shore to Sea". I'll add more as I sift through my prep files.

Shadow Lodge 3/5

Is there anything in particular people want to see on here? What kind of prep do you use?

For both in-person and online gaming?

Grand Lodge 5/5

I think the only thing I could share that my wife hasnt already shared for me is the New Player Info Sheet I made awhile back. I have added it to the drive under the Store Coordinator part.

When a new player shows up, I give them a 'New Player Packet' consisting of that sheet (with the After Mod GM Reference sheet on the back, which has the CUP on it), a new character sheet, and a new PFS number. Feel free to alter the page for your own area's use.

Silver Crusade 4/5

The main thing I'd like to see is translations of 3.5 to PF for season 0 adventures. I've never run any of them, because I don't know 3.5 or have any 3.5 books, so I don't have the means to do such translations myself. And now I'm scheduled to run Frozen Fingers of Midnight in two weeks, which I'll probably end up just using the stats in the published scenario for, which looks like it'll be WAY too easy.

The google drive is an open forum of sorts, put up what you want to share with people, there is not specific format (other than converting to google doc format if you can) or requirements.

It can be for face to face gaming or online gaming :) it's a community resource, which isn't limited (other than the size of my google drive size lol)

Even if someone made custom stats for all the monsters in the Season 0's, updating them to PFRPG rules, you still shouldnt be using them. They arent officially by Paizo, and GMs are supposed to 'run as written', which has the 3.5 stats.

If a creature has the same CR listed in the 3.5 version as the PFRPG has, you can use the Bestiary stats, though. Anything else, you would need to use the 3.5 stats for, which yes, can be underwhelming in the combat department.

Also, in case you didnt know, Mists of Mwangi has been updated to PFRPG stats, so you could run that w/o 3.5 books. :)

I thought you were supposed to update all the NPC stats, not just monsters from the bestiary. Ok, guess I was wrong about that.

The printable maps in some of the prep areas dont print to 1 inch Scale

thats something Id like to see fixed

(Golemworks and disappeared are 2 examples I know of for certain)

as my artist skills are Lacking and I hate drawing complicated maps

Cultist kiss is another. I made my players all use small minis for that one. Luckily I had 30 to choose from.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I would love to see more maps that have been formatted for easy printing. I don’t know what’s already out there, but Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment, Icebound Outpost, Gods Market Gamble, Haunting of Hinojai, and Blakros Matrimony, all come to mind. There are many others.

Dark Archive 4/5

I suspect the issue with the maps is twofold.

1) They were cut up to fit international size A3 and A4 paper, not US size paper.

2) They were converted to google docs from word, and likely were resized and lost size reference information in the process.

Shadow Lodge 3/5

I'll be uploading:

  • faction missions as PNGs (in their own subfolder) - I've found JPG screenshots of faction missions can screw with the colours and make them painful on the eyes to read, notably with season 3+
  • maps as JPGs,
  • block text without line breaks for easy cut-and-pasting,
  • grid settings for use in Combat Assistant with some directions on how to set them up - this includes columns, rows, cell size and background offsets.

4/5

Anyone have some help with the maps for the first levels of Thornkeep (Accursed Halls?) they are so huge that trying to print them out from the PDF isn't working out well for me - and they aren't included in the map pack either. When I ran it at Dundracon earlier this month I ended up drawing it by hand over some 6+ different flip mats and map paper - which is decidedly suboptimal (and the adventure is such that you actually do need to go back through many parts of the map many times) - and the multiple levels get a bit tricky to keep straight.

In general I wish most scenarios had maps that were designed to be printed out at the correct scale (or which were buildable using map packs or existing flip mats)

5/5

I threw up stat blocks for the unstatted monsters from Godsmouth Heresy. I'm not sure how they ended up on the shared drive after they came up, but hopefully someone will get some use out of them, if they're not too chunky. And that's as far as I'm willing to go with that joke.

I left out basic zombie stats, because towards the end I was getting pissed off at how many monsters there were in the dang thing, and there are already augmented zombie stats in there.

I just noticed, the pdfs for Before the Dawn 1 & 2 are in the wrong folders. Giant ants go in 1 (Bloodcove disguise) while the champion goes in 2 (Rescue at Azlant Ridge). I tried moving them, but couldn't.

I'll make a note to go in and move them after my game tonight.

In Season 0 there's a 0-04 Frozen Fingers of Midnight doc listed in the 0-03 Murder on the Silken Caravan folder. Should I use it when I run Silken Caravan at MegaCon anyway?

I have combat manager files for several scenarios I could share. I can't swear there are no mistakes, but I think they would be useful for GMs. What do you think?

It's occurred to me that we really should be creating subfolders for a lot of the files we're uploading if we're going to keep the drive organised. With a lot of people uploading several files each, it's going to get messy.

If you want to create a special subfolder for the things you upload feel free. When I have some free time I'll go in and see what organization can/needs to be done.

If there is anyone good with editing these maps it would be much appreciated. I apparently suck at map editing and have failed miserably on trying to work with these.

I've been accused of being "good with maps". There's enough going on in this thread that I'm having trouble tracking which map, and what the desired fix is, but I'd be glad to see what I can do.

The two scenarios I saw specifically mentione dabove are Golemworks incident and The Disappeared.

The desired fix is to make them easy to print at 1 square prints as 1". They need to be setup to be easily printable for both US Letter and European A3 (I think it is). Some overlap, so they can be cut and pasted/taped into a large single map for each encounter area.

I sometimes do this, but I don't have the skill with it that some people have. And it tends to lead to me swearing, sometimes. Or just taking the whole thing to a printshop to print as one large page.

Spoiler:
Star Wars - Dawn of Defiance drove me nuts. And drove me into buying some 22x30 easel pads. And even then, I had to make at least one map from two of those. 8-)

Dark Archive 4/5

I have re-uploaded the cut up floor plans (without conversion) in original docx and odt formats for:
-Golemworks
-Disappeared
-Cultists Kiss
-Refuge of Time
-Icebound outpost
-Gods market gamble

Hopefully that solves most of the issues. Can someone with US format docs/paper check they are OK and fit?

Printable battlemaps and VT maps for Pathfinder Society - Feast of Sigils
Maps By: Bwatford
Program Used: Dunjinni

If you use these please leave a comment.

.JPG Preview = Small preview of the entire map. Lets you see the content before downloading the larger files.

PDF Battlemap = Suitable for printing and assembly on standard sized paper.

PNG High resolution = Exported map image at 200dpi .PNG images. These images will serve two purposes.

First - If someone wants to take the file to a print shop or kinkos they can be printed out on a large format printer and will print to scale at 1" per 5 foot for use with miniatures. That way you get one map without having to put the pdf together however this option can get expensive.

Second - If you want to use them for VT you can scale them down depending on the VT you are using. Most virtual tabletop programs tend to use maps at 50 or 100 pixels per grid square. Battlegrounds works best with maps that are 122 pixels per grid square (this ensures no pixelation even at full zoom). The images I will be uploading is at 200 pixels per grid so they will scale down to whatever you will need, just use a graphics program to re-size the images. I don't suggest using .JPG as they will loose a lot of clarity.

Added "Fake Faction Missions" to 0-27 Our Lady of Silver (and blank faction mission templates to helpful resources).

I'll make a post about my experience using these later - suffice to say that using these handouts made the scenario amazingly fun and *really* engaged my players in RP moreso than any scenario I've ever run or played before :)

i usually print all the maps to A3 & glue them together (gotta love the work colour laser printer) but this one defeated me also due to sheer size (10' squares as well). What i ended up doing was printing just the rooms with a small piece of corridor - and i made the PC's map, giving them rough details of the corridors in-between rooms. Although thats a pain - we still managed it in about 6.5 hours (although the final puzzle took them less than 2 minutes and they were right first time)

I couldn't easily figure out how to print the #4-EX maps to scale so I created some of my own and uploaded them. Note: 11x17 paper was used where it worked better than 8.5x11. Also, I attempted to edit out the secrets on one of the maps.

Just want to say thanks to everyone for the resources. I'm running my first PFS scenario in two days, and have already found the GM Scenario Prep Checklist quite useful. I'm thinking it might be interesting eventually to create a version of this list that is geared specifically toward those who have iPads, since Combat Manager is now on the iPad, there are PRD apps out there (I have PFR), and Hero Lab is just a week or two away apparently (I check every morning!). Seems we're getting close to being able to run nearly paperless.

Please let me know what you think, and improve if necessary.

Dear lord, YES PLEASE.

And on that note, I've uploaded Combat Manager and MapTool files for First Steps parts two and three. No guarantees of accuracy, but they should be good to go.

I wonder.. can we upload .por files for Hero lab on to here?? Though that might not be very feasible as not all of us have the same files others do in Hero Lab.

What do you all think?? I am willing to share my .por files I have for all the scenarios I have ran with Hero lab and that is about 45 or so if not more.

It might be easier if they are uploaded as pdf files vs. the .por files. Not everyone has a mobile device that would have herolab loaded on it if they are running a scenario cold.

I would actually like .pors as well, so that I can put them into combat manager. Can we please do both?

Sure ... just make sure they are in a folder labeled to the effect that they are the .por files is all I ask.
