We generally have 4–10 people online each night for the Alliance guild. The Horde guild is a bit quieter since some of our principal Hordies went on deployment.

Just getting back into WOW after taking a couple years away. Used to do a fair bit of raiding before all my raiding friends quit playing.

Who would I ask for an invite in game (Alliance side) and what would be more useful for you all, DPS or tank? My DK is a decent tank and I got a ton of DPS.

Just about everyone who's online at any time has the ability to invite new characters. So just do a

/who Anvil Pounders

to get a list of who's on, and whisper one of them.

As for what class/role you should play, bring whatever you like, we have all roles covered. :)

Fear not! Though I am leaving Paizo, the official unofficial Paizo guilds on Borean Tundra shall continue on with me as their steward. Other than a brief hiatus during my cross-country drive to Indiana, I expect to be online at least once a day. :)

It'll be twice as officially unofficial now! :)

Poked my head in today after more than a year away from the game, and got an invite to Anvil Pounders. Now I just have to level my new alt on Borean Tundra :)

Sorry I haven't been around much Sean... Been busy GM'ing a new Horde guild on Thrall.
We've grown in no time to a robust level 25 guild, and it looks like we may have to plan for a 2nd flex squad soon too.

I miss the PF folks. :/

Contributor

Grats, Sunderstone, that's very cool. :) We're gearing up people to do a flex SOO on A and H sides, but it's not a fast process. :)

Had a great time raiding Deathwing for the giggles and mog gear yesterday.
We are actively helping each other and having a good time. Join up! :)

Gahee, we will get that Dino mount for you!!

Life Team FTW!! XD

Are these guilds still active?

They are. I know some were doing raiding on Alliance just today, though the usual time there is inconvenient for me so I don't put on an appearance often. Horde is less active but people do come around.

So the horde side is quiet but has spikes of activity, I believe more are getting active on it. Sean routinely hops through and one of the members of this board is active on it. I will leave it to him to decide if he wishes to announce himself.

The alliance side is very active in my opinion as far as interactng with fellow guild members, being on alot, helping each other, and doing activites together. Raids are come and go, I believe they are really trying to organize raids in the future.

My schedule makes it very hard to commit to raiding at a dependable level, so I LFR and PUG Flex mainly. And help out the guild where I can.

It is not a mega guild for those looking for that. The realm is med pop with a strong presence of alliance.
I find it to be fun and awesome.

*looks to both sides*

I suppose that's me. :) Full confession:

Oodledoodles, goblin warlock
Eatstheveal, tauren druid
Momorka, orc shaman

Been thinking about getting the warlock into some flex raids on reset days. His ilevel is in the high 540s (mostly upgraded timeless gear and LFR drops) so I think I'm geared enough.

My Ally 90 turned out to be a character that I've never gotten the hang of playing so he mostly comes out when we do transmog or other runs of older instances. Currently working on a hunter with the expectation that she might become my new ally main and see more action.

I just started playing WoW again, having last played right before the Firelands became a thing, and all my old buddies have switched to a PVP server. I transferred my death knight over there, and it's been all right, but I've been itching for some PVE. Maybe my next character will have to be on Borean Tundra...

Silver Crusade

I am considering starting over once Warlords of Draenor starts. I've tried a bunch of other MMOs (Rift, SW:TOR, FFXIV, WildStar) and none of them have grabbed me like WoW did. I have an old account with at least a couple of level capped characters from the beginning of the MoP expansion, but I really think I want to start fresh if I return to the game.

If I decide to, I'll come back and make another post and somebody can recruit a friend with me.

So are the Pounders still active? I log on here and there but often no one's on ...

Silver Crusade

Horseman: What time are you hoping on the anvil pounders side?

Mike and BDJ: All are welcome and we are pretty helpful getting people where they are lloking to be, ie raids, pvp, pets, what not.
If anything make a new character with the guild and see if you like it. :)

If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Im sure more people will be joing/rejoining when WOD hits. We will probably have a help-everyone-get-back-in-the-game party :)

Silver Crusade

I will definitely keep it in mind. I have really been missing WoW since I quit, but I'd also like a fresh start.

Going to have to transfer my DK tank, BE rogue and a shiny new Lock over as soon as I re-sub (already purchased WOD)

Contributor

Between Gen Con, summer plans, and the pre-expansion lull, things have been quiet on both sides, but there are people on, and I'm on every day (usually by 11pm ET, as I'm self-employed and have a weird sleeping schedule). I suspect things will pick up again in October once people settle into their school-has-started routine, and moreso when the new expansion comes out in November. :)

So I just recently resubbed after being away for pretty much all of Mists. I (unsuprisingly) lost my previous guild. I haven't really found a new place to be yet, and i'm thinking that playing with some fellow paizo fans doesn't sound too shabby.

I'm heavily considering using my WoD boost to put a character on Borean Tundra. I love the game, but I get lonely :(. Which side generally has more activity on your average weeknight?

Contributor

Alliance definitely has more people playing on a regular basis (and I suspect we'll have more start to come back from the end-of-expansion lull as we ramp up to the release of WOD...).

Isn't Borean Tundra on west coast time? I would consider transferring one of my toons there if it was closer to east coast time.

Contributor

Borean Tundra was on CT (Jason chose it pretty much at random, rather than picking one in his own time zone), but a few months ago it was merged with Shadowmoon, which is on PT, and now the combined server is on PT.

Alrighty. Trigger pulled. I went with an alliance pandaren hunter named Tanukii. I'll be on some this evening. Looking forward to joining you lovely folks.

Contributor

I've notified the Alliance guildies to be on the lookout for your character so they can invite you. Just do a /who for "anvil pounders" and message anyone you see online, they should all have invite priv's.

I don't know why anyone bothers to play Alliance. In the long run you'll all end up as raw materials for the invincible Forsaken war machine, so why not just accept the inevitable and pick correctly the first time?

Forsaken 4 "life" yo

Been a long time since I was part of an active guild. Pretty much spent Cata and Mists as a Me, Myself and I Guild after being the last one left. I'll have to look into joining up, get my feet wet again

I'm eastern time, can play mostly in the afternoons and early evening. Are there people playing those times? If so, think I'll boost me a DK over there and check it out. Any trade skills you need or are you pretty well covered there?

Contributor

Mogh,
We have all professions covered on both sides, so learn whatever prof you like. :)

We have people in all American time zones, so you'll find people on at all times of the day. I'm usually on in the evenings (ET), although I haven't been able to play much for the past 3 weeks because I've been running my Five Moons RPG kickstarter.

Sounds good, downloading the client now. The last patch must have been a beast, it's 10GB larger than it was a couple months ago.

Character's name is Maraigh, I'll be on whenever this download finishes.

Lamontia and I have been back playing for a couple of weeks now
really enjoying all the new content since we left a bit before Pandaria launched

Dark Archive

If Paizonians make an Imp-side SWtOR guild, they should totally call it 'The Esoteric Order of the Palpatine Eye.'

I just came back to WoW last week after a pretty long pause. Very happy so far with Warlords of Draenor.

I have most of my character in Moon Guard, but I'll try to check on you guys to say hello!

Hey there all,

Just an FYI, I have taken over as Guild Master of the Paizo WoW Guild (or rather resumed the role) after a long absence.

We are on Borean Tundra and the guild name is Anvil Pounders.

That said, I am probably going to change the name soon to something a bit more suitable for the guild. I am thinking either "Pathfinders" or "Warlords of Paizo", but I am open to suggestions.

Looking forward to making the guild a bit more active and friendly. Thinking about setting up Tuesday nights as dungeon/raid night. Possibly also starting up a Alt/Leveling night on Sunday evening.

Glad to be back..

Ah, yes, of course. Good note.

Jason

I run a small friends & family guild on another server, but I'll take a look at transferring either an old 85 from my Cata days or just starting a new character with some BoA gear on Borean Tundra later on today.

Nice, I should be on later tonight at some point.

That I do. I have also just put in a name change for the guild. The new name is...

<insert drum roll here>

Warlords of Paizo

It should go through within the next day, at which point, I will start a new recruitment thread.

Yeah, I nearly did that.. and once I stopped vomiting in terror, I changed my mind.

Hurry up. If I have to tank another PUG full of racist imbeciles... well, I'm going to get a bad reputation for bailing.

Dark Archive

Aw, tempted to come back, but I'd have to play on the Alliance side, so no Licktoad! (Which, in fine WoW tradition, seemed to get turned into Kicktoad and Licktard, when raiding with jerks...)

Still, I do have that Tiefling (Dranei, whatev) Paladin named Signifer I was planning on trying out on that server. :)

Silver Crusade

Gahee, or anyone else looking for to game. I am back on wow, checking out the guild routinely. let me know if you want to rock some wow again. :)
