If it sounds good to us, we'll set you on an assignment to write it up.Is it the intent that any such adventures utilize only the pawns and statblocks, that a GM would find in the Beginners Box?
Or do they expect/allow us to expand on those basic tools?
I'd like these mini-adventures to use what's in the Box. Now...I'm not entirely sure, but I'm looking into whether it would be within the Community Use Policy to make BB-style stat blocks of monsters NOT in the Beginner's Box. Like, perhaps, derro? Mongrelmen? I'm asking Paizo folks this week.
Also, because it's the BEGINNER BOX, you need to keep it for Lvls 2-5.

Yep. I checked the sheet of pawns, which are all mostly 'overground' races (or at least, ones who don't dig too deep).
If we're to link Sandpoint to the Darklands, we'll need to be able to use some of those iconic races*, as statblocks and pawns.
If using Paizo stock art is out, maybe some of the fans could draw new pawns, or use already-existing fan-made ones, like the Minisplosion peeps?
*I'm unclear as to whether the Drow are now common knowledge in Golarion, after Second Darkness, or still considered a myth? I know I had to remind my Greyhawk players not to reel off a load of Drow-lore. "This ain't Forgotten Realms! They've only been rediscovered, by a handful of NPCs, within your lifetime."

The status of things happening in Adventure Paths and modules seems to be that unless they're sequels to a previously published thing (like Shattered Star) they're yet to happen as far as the Paizo-published stuff is concerned.
Thanks for that. I recall hearing that default rule, now.
I'm not aware of any AP following on from SD, so I guess if your GM hasn't run that, they're still to be described as 'freaky-weird blue-people', if the PCs meet them below Sandpoint.

1) Everyone published in the issue gets a copy. (Usually arrangements can be made to have your copy shipped with your next Paizo order, to save on shipping.)
2) Attend Paizocon; every attendee gets a copy.
3) Donate to Wayfinder. Each donor (don't recall the minimum donation, you'll have to ask Tim) gets a copy.
Please excuse the noobishness...
Is this true of all Wayfinder issues or just the PaizoCon ones?
If it's all, who should I contact with regard getting my paper #8 included in my next subscription shipment?
Thanks!

Ah - found the answer to my own question - only odd numbered issues get printed :)
Typical! I get published for the first time and it's an even numbered issue - go me :P

Tim, just a reminder when you get ready to tap your artist pool that I'm available for this issue. Re-linking to my gallery as well. If there's someone else I'd need to contact regarding that just let me know.
I'm really curious to see if my Prestigious entry gets in to Wayfinder #9 as well :)

Deep below, through endless passages, in the twisted caverns, evil awaits you.
Side Treks: Side Treks feature short outlines for a sidetrek adventure set in a particular Pathfinder adventure, from the products listed below. One sidetrek outline per submission for this column. Please reference earlier Wayfinders for the layout for this article. Submission size: 325 words.
...
D'Oh! why did I think side treks were 750 words long!
Still time (barely) to fix it though.

One thing this morning, as we wade through the submissions:
Put your name on your submission. As in "at the top of the Word document, in a By YOUR NAME line." It's a little thing, but really keeps the "who wrote this?" questions to a minimum.
Your document gets separated from your email rather quickly, so putting your name IN your submission itself is a good idea.
Phew, I thought I had done this, but a quick check confirmed I didn't. This time...

Duergar fashion?
"And for winter, we're predicting lots of greys and chainmail with furs to replace the fall's grey chainmail with boiled (grey) leathers."
Given that I've been writing about the duergar, I kind of wish I'd collaborated with Mikaze on something!
On that note, "Golarion Gazetteer: Tourism in Hagegraf" is definitively finished. I've got a few friends proof-reading it and then I'll send it in. The Side Trek is still in the works, and if I have time and you have room, there's a couple of NPCs I made for a Darklands adventure a while back that I think would work swimmingly for Weal or Woe.

No luck in submission land for me this issue. Nothing like a product launch with a month and a half build up to kill free time ...
Fortunately, there is only a live event and a minor product roll out between now and PazioCon, so the layout work should be easily worked into the mix at least.
I'll definitely need to get started on a submission for #10 once the theme is announced.

Closing in on TWO hours left....and I have 70 submissions now.
WOW.
Also...crap. That means I'm going to have to not use about 30 of these.
The tough decisions start tomorrow, I guess!
Tim
Slid in right under the nose! I submitted a Golarion Gazetteer entry (1500 words) and an accompanying Side Trek. Feel free to extricate the Side Trek if you're crushed for space, which is what it's looking like!
EDIT: Ah! I would also like to do art, if you'll have me. I can show samples on request.

Greetings, All! Article assignments went out to our volunteer editors last night, and I have e-mailed out the Wayfinder #9 acceptance notifications today.
I will try to get notification e-mails out to those whose submissions were not accepted, but we are in the throes of editing, so it may have to wait a bit. As a writer, myself, I know it is helpful to get feedback, even from rejections, and I will try to provide that for you as soon as I can.
I will say, however, that all of you should continue to write and keep submitting your work to us and to other outlets. There's a lot of talent among you, so please keep sharing it!
Paris Crenshaw
Wayfinder Assistant Editor-in-Chief

WOOOOOO Just got the e-mail! Thanks, Paris! :D
2 out of 3. Azata didn't make the cut, but I'm thinking about resubmitting it if the theme matches next issue. :)
edit-Do we have the all-clear to post any entries that didn't make the cut here or elsewhere? (I honestly don't know how it works)
Distant Worlds perchance?
yes plz

Conditions for Submissions. All authors and artists must agree to have their works reproduced for this and other Wayfinder products, be it for translations into other languages (we will be responsible for the truthfulness of the translations), special publications, or use on a Wayfinder website. All of Wayfinder’s publications are NON-PROFIT, and authors and artists will be given proper credit where due.
There is no word of transfer of ownership to Wayfinder typical for submissions to magazines or contests done by professional (i.e. for profit) publishers and no condition to not republish the material.
As far as I can understand (someone correct me if I am wrong on this) I think that we can perfectly legally publish submitted material, we just gave the Wayfinder perpetual license to use our submitted materials for free.
