Why thank you, sir. I'm in the midst of a Legacy of Fire campaign playing an albino Mawangi sorcerer of the aberrant bloodline who uses pesh magic, so it's been on the mind lately.

I am really excited at the idea of seeing (or producing!) more stuff on Rahadoum. I really want to get a better look at them. I'd be interested in material that shows (what is to me) their heroic battle to claim their place in the world without bending a knee to strange and untrustworthy gods. More specifically, I'm interested in seeing how they cope with their challenges without the aid of divine magic -- and no, the Godless Healing feat doesn't quite cut it for me.
I really like the idea of mankind not just inheriting its future, but earning it. Ironically, this country embodies Aroden's spirit of destiny to me more than any other.

I don't know, but I'm pretty sure I saw it cast Irresistible Dance on a mob of zombies.
The scary thing is, it's a three-way tie for Creepiest Party Member.
Deserts of the Inner Sea sounds like a fine theme. Lots of stuff to mine for ideas. Plus, I've got a rice pudding recipe that would fit perfectly.

The next AP should put Ultimate Campaign to good use - A world spanning, planet hoping, kingdom building epic, set against a backdrop of armies clashing across a landscape devastated by natural disasters while the characters try to run an international shipping business!
Actually, I would settle for another sandbox AP like Kingmaker using elements from Ultimate Campaign set in some underdeveloped corner of Golarion.
On a similiar note: Did I imagine someone saying the release schedule for APs would try to follow the pattern of one traditional style AP followed by an experimental AP each year?

Getting back to this issue - how is it coming together? Is it another "ohh shiny" issue? Do we have some brooding dark subterranean cover images being considered? etc.
And just to cover my bases - I have been asked to shout out for artists who might like to do some art for a new board game that was play tested at Birmingham NEC Games EXPO 2013 this month - dark fantasy art is required, the concepts are pretty much defined, so they now want artists to work with them on finalizing the style and producing the final artwork.
This consists of ad art, box art, pamphlet art, game components, cards and board art, and that extra special joy - miniature concept art - so the full gamut of art all set in a dark fantasy setting. Target for release is first half 2014, so they are actively seeking artists right now.
Please PM your email contact details and full name to pass on to these people - I cannot give any further information due to NDA, but hopefully enough to whet your appetites / broker your interest. Do be ready to supply a sample dark fantasy art that you have to allow them to judge your style and suitability to the project. A small email-able jpg will do to generate the initial approach.

Anyone interested in a collaborative project?
I realize the next topic has not yet been formally announced, but I want to put out feelers before I get too far into brainstorming.
I have had two "Tales from the Front" pieces in Wayfinder now (okay so the second is in the upcoming issue) and I'm thinking I'd like to see if there's any interest in tying some ideas together.
That is, if you are thinking of entering something for the bestiary, prestige class, or even side treks (or all three) then I could write up a piece of short fiction that provides more flavor or back story.
I would propose that we submit them separately so that the editors don't feel that it's an all or nothing proposition, but also make them aware of our intent so that should they be accepted, proper consideration could be given to layout.

I'd cast a vote for something delving into the rest of the solar system, for obvious reasons, but I'd be cool with the First World. A tie-in to the Worldwound and/or Mendev might be an obvious choice to coincide with Wrath of the Wrighteous, though I dunno how much more blood we'd be able to get outta that stone between the AP and the 30,000 support material books coming out. Osirion (or "Sandboxes of Golarion" or whatever) would offer me a chance to do something with the Dominion of the Black and Aucturn and Nyarlathotep, which I could do in a heartbeat.
I'm trying to think of anything else in the Inner Sea that hasn't been beaten like a dead-then-reanimated-then-killed-again Golarihorse, or that's too niche for anyone but folks who love the region to care, or isn't a spaceship.
Spaceship. Yeah. Let's build a spaceship.

We could also delve into a Monsterous Races issue. Have everything circle around, orcs, bugbears, gobbos (of course there would be gobbos), hobgobbos (and do they get particularly insulted when referred to as 'hobgobbos'), ogres, trolls, etc.
Granted, there are the "as written in the Bestiary" versions, but there are variants as well. The troll seers of Kaer Maga come to mind. I'm sure there could be other "exceptions to the rule" scattered throughout Golarion.

If my calculations are correct, Numeria, or at least Silver Mount should be part of Quadira in T minus 15, 14, 13, 12, 12, 12 *smack*, 11, 10, 9 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0... Ignition...

Just because the females have right of inheritance does not make the society a matriarchy. That would make the society matrilinear. The positions of power are currently occupied by males. Maybe in Qadiran society, the females inherit the throne, but their husband (who has had to prove himself) wields the power?

Several reasons as to why Osirion is not included with Katapesh and Qadira.
An Egyptian theme (mummies, pyramids, sphinx, etc) is not really the same as the Arabian theme (genies, flying carpets, harems, sultans, etc.). Trying to do both in the same issue sort of reduces the strength of the issue.
While a desert-theme would bring together MANY of the countries, once again, it is a bit too large, and dilutes the strength of the theme. Lots of people would write about Osirion. Some would write up some Katapesh stuff. A few would write to the Qadira element. One or two would write to Radadoum or Thuvia. So, we'd essentially get an Osirion issue, with other countries thrown in here and there.
And, in my opinion, Osirion demands its own issue.
Lastly, Qadira and Katapesh have a good amount of information about them from Paizo (Legacy of Fire AP, Qadira-Gateway to the East, Dark Markets—A Guide to Katapesh). So, there is a nice, developed playground for fans to play in for issue #10; but, it's my impression that not a lot of people HAVE been playing with this content. Therefore, this issue's goal is to change that....Katapesh and Qadira need fan-made material!

Mmm. Pesh ghouls. No longer able to gain the effects of pesh by ingesting it, they have to feed on the bodies of addicts. The dregs among them haunt the night streets, seeking out pesh junkies to devour, while the oldest and most cunning of them run pesh dens in hidden warrens and sup only lightly from their 'repeat customers,' having developed techniques for experiencing pesh filtered through hookahs filled with the blood of their addicted customers (careful to leave them alive, so that they can be used so repeatedly), and saving the actual consuming of addicts (or just *parts* of addicts, like a finger here, or a leg there...) for when they need the stronger purer pesh high necessary to cast pesh magic (and explaining why even in the 'no kill' areas, there are so many addicts lounging around with missing fingers, or more pervasive amputations).
