Halcyon Magic says "(or familiar if she is a witch)." but the class requires spell mastery, a feat that requires Wizard levels.

Was the feat updated anywhere to let witches take it?

For anyone that multiclasses wizard and witch, for whatever reason. Probably just covering those bases, y'know. People make odd builds.

Several people (including me) allow the witch and magus to take spell mastery even though the original feat was (and currently is) wizard only. The developer in question may have forgotten that this is simply a house rule he uses instead of the normal rules when he did the class.

I was wondering about the Spell Mastery requirement and the reference to the witch as well...

Personally, Spell Mastery should have "Ability to prepare and cast 1st level arcane spells" instead of the normal prerequisite (which was fine when the CRB came out, but with the APG and UM, there are now three classes that prepare arcane spells).

Aren't Bard spells arcane too?

Yeah but they don't prepare them. At the time, only wizards could prepare them.

I swear I read somewhere during one of my character generation sessions that there was another way to get spell mastery. I think it was some combination of either a feat-tree or bloodline/domain or another prestige class or something. I forget :(

Doesn't a Magus Arcana and a Witch Hex allow you to take Spell Mastery?

Or an Archetype?

I would defenitely allow a Magus Arcana & Witch Hex that allows them to count as a Wizard for Feats if they are over a certain level.
