Target was oblivious and the Rogue was driving. The Rogue said that since his target was flat-footed he could add his Sneak Attack. I always thought Sneak Attack was with a hand-held weapon.
The rogue's attack deals extra damage (called "precision damage") anytime her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 every two rogue levels thereafter. Should the rogue score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet.
With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage (like a sap, whip, or an unarmed strike), a rogue can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack, not even with the usual –4 penalty.
The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. A rogue cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment.
So the basic question is is whether a `vehicle` is considered a weapon?

I really don't think there's a RAW on this.
It comes down to, would you allow the the character in question to take Weapon Focus: Said Vehicle?
If so, I'd allow. If not, nope.
This may be a bit houseruley for the rules forum, but I strongly believe this is not addressed anywhere in order to have RAW.

Being able to take weapon focus is not needed to sneak attack, you would not deny a player the ability to sneak attack with a fork they pick up in a tavern...Just sayin
The real question is would you deny a player taking weapon focus: cutlery? OK admittedly it would probably have to be WF: fork but seeing someone with WF: Cutlery on their character sheet would be awesome.

As large and imprecise weapons, siege engines do not deal sneak attack damage or any other kind of precision damage.
So no, RAW says you cannot do sneak attack damage with large, imprecise weapons, and I would include a vehicle as such.
Also here.
