Hey guys, I am playing a LvL 9 Sorc "Ray Specialist" 20 Dex 16 Cha. My DPS is pretty good but I'm starting to get bored standing/flying around nuking from the back lines. I've already taken starsoul bloodline, my question is... Is there a way to find more adrenaline in combat as a sorc with a high dex?

You'll definitely need to get an Agile Weapon.
Consider taking a level in Magus for the ability to put a touch spell into your sword and get Arcane Armor training for free.
Feat wise I would try to build into Spring Attack so you can be the ultimate skirmisher. Run in, attack with a Corrosive Touch enhanced katana or longsword, and run back out.

What are your feats? How are your spell DCs? My advice is to diversify your spell list. Sorcerers get two new toys every level, so I'd make sure to make them something good. What's more when you hit 10th level you can swap one of your spells around for a new lower-level one.
Summon Monster V lets you summon devils, archons and everything in between. You can summon hound archons that give a +2 to your AC and saves with their magic circle against evil spell while giving the enemy a -2 penalty to everything with their aura of meance. Bearded devils that deal bleed and str damage. Celestial dire lions... kick about as much ass as they sound.
Posess your enemies with Magic Jar. End any encounter with an outsider with dismissal. Create traps with the Symbol of X spells. Dominate Person and Planar Binding are AWESOME on the right target. Telekinesis is just crazy fun. You can also use your next level to swap out one of your fourth level spells for something like Confusion or Fear
In short, you won't be getting any new rays or damage when you level up that can top what you have already. Sorcerers can have plenty of toys. The key to not getting bored is versatility. If you're still bored after that, take it up with your GM about rolling up a new character. Sometimes you just need a change of pace.

tell us more about what you want to accomplish? what are your main strengths? besides the ability to shoot rays
My Cha is only 16 so Obviously my DC for late game spells wont be so great, my only real weapon will be party buffs and disintegrate. I do like the idea of save or die spells like dismisal/banish/FOD and summon monster like Twigs suggests. However, I think my sorceress is at a turning point and needs to find out "who she is" and take some sort of prestige maybe? I was looking at arcane trickster and mystic theurge/bloatmage. Any other suggestions that are a little more unique to a lost starsoul?

I would say this is a common danger of ultra specialized sorcerers and oracles.
Even though you a ray specialist, it doesn't mean all your spells need to be rays.
Try a few wierd spells like chain of perdition or eruptive pustules. There is another for taking things from people, I forget the name. Even if not as effective, they are just plain fun.

I wrote a guide on the trickster. I definitely like the class. I think it's best to plan that class out early on, though. Taking 3 levels of rogue right now wouldn't be much fun.
The thing with sorcerers is that they're defined by their spells. At 9th, you probably have some decent blasts already. Try branching out. Toss in some enchantments or wall spells; change it up a little. There are lots of ways to win fights, not just spamming blasts. It's fun to blast, but, like you said, it gets old if that's all you do.
You might want to look at some of the wizard/sorcerer guides if you haven't, and check out mad monkeys and other spells that give you different ways to affect the battle. You'll certainly want teleport, and maybe some scrying magic to scope out the baddies before you engage.

Thanks this helped a lot!

Try taking Reach Spell (or if you're feeling dangerous, just get Weapon Finesse and wade right in) so you can do touch attacks and not just rays and other ranged touch stuff. You haven't lived until you've Force Punch'd someone into an Acid Pit. Getting up close and personal will definitely give you an adrenaline rush, too.

Check out both the Arcane Trickster and Arcane Archer?
I find that letting them know you're getting bored of one character and want to make an adjustment, they tend to be pretty lenient
What about ability score changes? I blew my lot in dex focusing hard on a ray specialist yet all the fun stuff i find out later is about having a good Cha for the DC. I would still have the drawbacks from taking ranged feats though. That might be asking too much?
