It was basically a necromancer that gained a skeleton champion as a cohort and had basically a leadership skill that solely worked on the undead. Though I might have been surfing the web when I saw it, so I'm just trying to confirm which one it was.

All I can think of is the Undead Lord archetype for Clerics in Ultimate Magic. You give up a Domain for a skeletal cohort.

the dragon compendium has something called a death master, not a prestige class but it gives a skeleton that you choose from al ist.

its 3.5 material though.

Oracles of Bones also gain an undead ally.
