Hello Kyra....a couple of question so we can learn from your wisdom in case we find ourselves in similiar siturations.
1) What was the worst situration Merisiel find herself in that you had to get her out of? Was there anything you would have done differently to aviod the trouble?
2) If you have another cleric(or oracle or anybody else with access to healing magic) and they refuse to let you do all the healing for the party instead of sharing the duties, would you consider not using your healing abilities on that person(barring of course that person is dieing of course) to a way to deal with that aituration?
3) Have you ever had to work with a evil person to defeat a greater evil? If so how did you deal with it? If not...how do you think you would eal with it?
Thank you for your time. Hope the battle vs evil and the redemption of people who have been lost in darkness is going well.
I have returned from my duties, and some much needed rest and restoration. Since many of you have waited, patiently and respectfully, I will answer you.
1) There are too many to recount a worst...according to Merisiel, they were ALL merely minor scrapes that she would have gotten out of. (snort) Doubtful. I believe that one of the worst situations I can remember was when we were first starting out...in Kassen's tomb. I believe you can read my journal notes somewhere . In short, Merisiel ran into the tomb, attacked some zombie, got herself flanked, and was clawed down.
2) I am not sure I understand your question...are you saying they wouldn't let me do any healing at all? I do not believe this is what you are asking, so I will answer you as if you asked if this other healing refused to share in the healing duties. This person would NOT be joining us in the future. Such selfishness has no place in a group that commonly faces danger and death. I would demand that this person put aside their pettiness, and come to the aid of the party and its needs. Or leave. However, in the meantime, I would merely cast compassionate ally on them.
3) I have had this experience. By working towards a common goal, and one which results in a good outcome, this evil person makes a step towards redemption. I will always hope for the chance to help one who has fallen upon the wrong path to take that step.

I threw this one at the Enlarged Kender, so I'll ask you this as well, what would you do with a chest full of 10,000 platinum pieces, given to you as a reward?
Assuming your companions could manage to not get themselves into trouble for one day, what would be your 'ultimate day off' be like?
I would, of course, use it to promote the greater cause of Sarenrae.
Now, if this could be accomplished by purchasing advanced gear and weapons to assist me in the fight against unredeemable evil in the world, so be it.
I am, after all, practical, am I not?
A day off....a quiet day of prayers and reflection. I know of this secluded, beautiful oasis in my homeland...I would go there, I think.

Very well. I have asked Ameiko what this term means. She laughed and said, 'Yes. Quite.' And then she explained it to me.
I must say you are probably correct. It is not a side you will see often, though. Perhaps when my life is less....intense. My companions have seen this lighter side on occasion...Lem is always sure to make me laugh. He is quite amusing, and clever with words.

If you ever found the surviving bandits that burned down your home, what would you do with them?
Have you ever thought about stopping your adventures to take up a more protective role of a singular community, or do you feel that travelling as you do is more productive to the Dawnflower's vision?
And what would be your preferred enchanted weapon?
The Everlight requires more of me than to exact revenge. I would look into their souls, to see if they were repented for that evil done to me. If they were still evil in their ways, I would see them sold into slavery, or tried and executed, as is my right by law.
I had that opportunity to decide between a life as a spiritual leader of a community, or this life. Sarenrae revealed to me her sign, the ankh, on the side of a ship. I took that ship, and it is what the Dawnflower wanted. When She has decided that I must do something different, then I will know.

Hello fellow cleric, I have a few questions for you.
Have you had a chance to use any of the new spells that just came out? If so whats your favorite one?
Do you find it frustrating when you've just healed your party members and then they go run off to find more trouble?
Have you ever thought about charging for your services? In times like those mentioned above it almost seems like a good idea...
Oh, create demiplane. I mean...how incredible is that?!?!
However, I am quite fond of the idea of casting forbid action on Merisiel, if it meant keeping her out of trouble!
YES.
NO. Healing is a gift of the The Healing Flame. I know that as much as it is frustrating to heal and have it taken for granted, my companions are there to save MY life as well.

Do you have any siblings?
What is it that attracted you to becoming a Cleric?
If you could adventure anywhere where would it be and who would you bring with you?
Do you think its fair that elves get to live as long as they do?...well as long as they don't keep doing stupid stuff like Merisiel, its kind of amazing she hasn't died yet.

Have you noticed that people whose moral outlook is "Good" are generally happier then others? (…Even as they are made to sacrifice or suffer for their moral beliefs?)
I point this out because I see that even Merisiel would be happier if she could align herself with Sarenrae (or even Sarenrae's long time ally Densa).

So I was reading through the paladin codes in Faiths of Purity, and ran across this line in the book:
“The best battle is a battle I win. If I die, I can no longer fight. I will fight fairly when the fight is fair, and I will strike quickly and without mercy when it is not.”
Naturally there are differences in the restrictions on clerics and paladins. But I was curious as to what you considered to be a fair fight, or if fair fights are just fiction to you.

I see that there is a new small statuette of my likeness that is creating quite a bit of excitement.
I approve of this likeness of me....they even got the patterns in my robes correct. Impressive!
However, having some of you pawing my likeness does disturb me slightly....
(narrows eyes at certain undead posters....and Merisiel)

I do not, and did not, have siblings. I was my parents' only child, before the bandits came and destroyed our life together.
I would enjoy the opportunity to travel into Casmaron, to see the Padishah Empire and the Ourzid-Mah, especially. I would welcome any of my Iconic companions.
I do not envy the elves and their lifespan. Although they have the opportunity to do more good deeds in their years, it is not the number that matters...it is what one does in the time they are given.

** spoiler omitted **
I often wonder if Merisiel would find better hope and purpose following a different deity. While the Dawnflower does not seem to fit with her, I would say that Desna does. Calistria seems a bit too bitter, although I trust that her call to the tricksters is what appeals to Merisiel.
Only Merisiel knows what will bring her the joy in life she seeks.
And I know what her response will be, I'm afraid; but, she will be wrong. The happiness she seeks cannot be found in anyone's arms...

So, whut be th' Cleri's code on gettin' a hug or score?
Aaaaand, how could other folks help ye in catchin' up on'a questions whut see t' be backin' up?
Oh! Maybe we could, like, have anuther "Guess th' Iconical's answer!" Thread! (^_^)
Much cheers t' ye an' yours!
I am not aware of any restrictions regarding hugs....
I am a busy woman. I endeavor to answer as many relevant and thoughtful questions as I can. If you are too impatient for this, I suggest you ask Merisiel more questions. She seems to have the time for them....

I'm afraid she's not looking for happiness in peoples arms...shes looking somewhere lower than that.

(sigh) Paladins....so eager to see the world in black and white.
For me the best battle is one where good overcomes evil, and none of my allies die. A fair fight is such a rarity, as it suggests an evenly matched battle, where the most gifted and talented side wins, and honor is valued.
Evil NEVER plays fairly.
As a courtesy, however, I do believe in giving the evil side one last chance to change their ways. They rarely accept the offer...

So if you had one thing to say about Sarenrae to people, what would it be?
The Dawnflower loves and cares for all that are honest and good, or truly wish to be. She lifts up the fallen, heals the sick, and brings light to the world. To follow Sarenrae, you must believe in honesty, kindness, and redemption.

So...is the reason you don't do what Merisiel wants to do with you is because of a vow you took in service to Sarenrae or is it more personal reason? And if it is a vow do all Sarenrae clerics take one? Or a similiar one?
To answer your polite, but obviously veiled, question....No, we are not required to forswear intimate relations with others. The Dawnflower is not such a prudish goddess!
The honest reason I decline Merisiel's advances is that I am not attracted that way to women. That is all. I do think Valeros is a fine specimen of man, but past his physical form, he is quite crude and wholly unappealing.

Here now? How on earth did ye manage t' go an' do that?

I dun't see nuthin', an' yer sleeve's lookin' fine, dandy t' boot.
As fer that...um...feller, at least ye c'n say he be an interestin' Shade, what's all mauve. (^_~)
Also, th' name be 'Sunny'...not 'Friendly'.
Though I think I got's a cousin who likes th' ring o' that t'other name...

You know there are magic items that solve both of those problems...though I'd guess that you haven't "been" with anyone yet and want it to be a little more special than something that has to be faked with magic which is totally respectable.
Do you at least find Merisiel's advances a little touching? I mean it's kind of a complement if you think about it. Despite how she sometimes represents herself I'm sure she has standards.

Well it sorta had to be vieled to be polite. Though I also meant it be mor encompassing. I am pretty sure Merisiel just does not want to bed you...but go out and have a girls night out type thing. So is there restriction based on faith about going outy drinking, or gambling, etc also?
Or is that more based on your personal preference?

And what do you plan to do once retirement becomes an option?

Would it be possible for you to regenerate this kidney Merisiel stabbed? I sort of need it.
What is your favourite beverage?
If you found a faulty Helm of Opposite Alignment, the effect of which only lasted for one week, which of the Iconics would you use it on? (assuming you were interested in friendly 'punking' and they weren't likely to go on a stabbing spree once the effect wore off?)

In other words, "Would she be willing to take moral responsibility for any 'acts of violence or treachery' that this normally good person committed during this 'punking'?" (Do I understand you correctly?)
Or, "Would she be willing to take moral responsibility for pushing a 'not good' person further away from redemption?" Consider, what kind of moral example would this act of 'temporary' enslavement give that person? (Do I still understand you correctly?)
