what are the dates for the play test for the 2nd version of the gunslinger? thanks
The playtest for the gunslinger ends on Friday, April 1. And I am being serious. No April Fool's joke here.
So 2 weeks...Alright. Just so everyone knows, I've posted my v.2.1.0 gunslinger here.
This is based on numerous suggestions by posters, some of my own thoughts and ideas, and is based upon the current confines and rules of the playtest 2 gunslinger class, and not a complete rebuild like the past v.1.4.0 or v.1.5.0 from the round 1 playtest. Have a look, read it carefully, compare it the playtest 2 document, and see what you think.
Stephen, if you are reading this, please take a look, and hopefully some things in there you will consider/reconsider/add/change, etc. Maybe it will help to inspire certain changes that other ideas from round 1 seemed to sneak into round 2.
And again, thank you (Paizo) for allowing ALL of us to be part of the playtests.

As people pointed out to me with more or less ranks put in their Diplomacy skill, all of these thoughts and ideas would probably have a chance to be taken into consideration if they were not presented like an homebrew class ; but more like a clear recapitulative list of issues and suggestions concerning each point of the class and what people proposed about them. No advancement table, no complete rewriting of deeds/feats, just an organized list with eventually some of them wrote as an example of how it could work.
While a full-version seems proper and cleaner to those that write them, it also looks like if people are trying to do the designer's job ; and IMHO, this, beyond others things, deserves the content.
Well, Maxx, I've reposted my ideas as snipits on my other thread for ease of reading and poigniancy. Hopefully, the more or less Diplomatic will enjoy them in that style better. I actully made a few changes again since my v.2.1.0 was posted. I even have another idea for a change from reading the "Gun Training-It Doesn't Make SENSE" thread. I must ponder some more.
Steven, will we be seeing a round 3 for the Gunslinger, like the Magus?
Does "end of playtest" mean I have to stop playing my Pathfinder Society gunslinger?

I dont think so....i think you can continue playing your gunslinger, i think you will just have to update it when a) another round of gunslinger playtest rules come out if they do ( I doubt that they will) and B) update the gunslinger when the Ultimate combat hardback comes out.
Even though there have been howls of protest which have probably subsided into grumbles of irritation from those who don't want guns in their sword and sorcery game, i doubt the gunslinger will be removed from Pathfinder Society games. Undoubtedly there would be other howls of protest, from those who don't want their new toys taken away from them.
So I don't think you have to worry about your gunslinger being removed from legal play. He might be beset by derro, goblins kobolts, gelatenous cubes, and dancing invisible dark creepers, but those are some of the hazards of adventuring.

would also like to know if there will be a round 3, either that or the tweaks to samurai/ninja. not a BIG fan of either of those, but i would like to see what paizo has in store for the gunslinger
