Hello Fawlties good to see that everybody is having a good Christmas.
Boxing day today - cold leftovers and swimming in the pool.
I scored well this year my wife bought me Skyrim (I did ask her if she was sure she wanted to give me the game as she probably would become a game widow for a month or two) and a hardback League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (graphic novel).

Hope you all had a good holiday!! (I'd call out specific holidays, but frankly with Aberzombie being zombiefarian and wolfthulhu being a cthulhu cultist and me not be familiar with their traditions I'd just end up in trouble).

So, I may have a new Friday game. Set in Ustalav, 25 pt buy. Playing around, I made a Varisian Rogue, totally gypsy flavored. I have a fiddle, I have a harrow deck and Profession: Fortune Teller. I also have mad Bluff skills and Slight of Hand.
Yeah, this dude could be a lot of fun.
Now I need a name.
(Of course, I haven't ruled out the possibility of some type of Cleric instead... but I REALLY like this Rogue.)

Friday's have been way too quiet the past two months. I am really looking forward to picking up our game again after things settle down with Lebreton's new baby.

Went to wife's uncle's place yesterday along with my mom. They're both Pisces, so they got along well. It was a little intimidating, as there were a LOT of names to remember(Uncle has 5 kids who are older than we are and have kids of their own), but they got presents for me, my mom and my wife, which was AMAZING!!! I got a little handkerchief set that I am looking forward to using at work- I finally have something to put in my iron down shirt pockets and to clean my glasses with! Wife got a beautiful scarf and a soap set, mom got another soap set, we ate until we burst...a good time was had by all.

Also, thinking about the possibility of me being dyscalculaic. I meet a lot of the weirder criteria. From when I was a little kid, I though t of myself as more of an absent-minded professor. I was always losing or dropping things, and although I was slowly working my way through Different Seasons and the Gunslinger in the 4th and 5th grade, and understood the concepts behind how certain super powers might work in real life as opposed to comics(and I still wonder why we don't have transforming planes), I was having serious difficulties with multiplication although not so much with division. Hm...

Sooo...... Two of the coolest gifts I got this year were from my mother in law. The first was one of those t-shirts with the "do not meddle in the affairs of dragons..." saying on it. The second was a sock monkey with a sling shot built into the arms. You shoot the thing across the room and it makes a monkey noise.

Day off, without pay. Work in a union area but without being union there's really no point in being open because all your customers have a paid day off
Got some cool stuff: Kolchak the Nightstalker on DVD, a Nook, two goblin dice bags, some neat plastic dragon figures, books (bien sur), including the first three horatio Hornblower books.
