But did they sing to you wearing chain mail bikinis?

Interestingly enough, one of my players is creating a coinmail g-string thingie for me to wear. I must run while wearing it, and not complain if any tender skin is pinched. This is because of a boast I made years ago about my love of Red Sonja and chainmail bikinis.

No, not naked. Coinmail g-string thing!!!!

They are not too bad as long as they are sewn into a cloth backing. Don't ask.

I HAVE CHESTNUTS!

Now I have to figure out the roasting part.

Never done it; looks easy......I think the main thing is whether you have a serrated knife like that dude did, but.......

It's quite cultural. I know of a few people who open presents on Christmas Eve and do other things on that day that require them to take the day off of work because they are in church ALL DAY on Christmas Day. Others do a funky vigil and are in church Christmas Eve into Christmas Day and don't exchange presents until 3 kings day- and those presents are always rather humble.

We always opened the gifts from the Grands, it was always PJ's, we got to wake up in fresh new jammies to open our gifts! <3

kids made out like bandits (and to think we were worried there wasn't enough!)

My parents got them really cool stuff this year! Kellen actually got a CD player (I guess he is getting to that age :( ) Arden got a new babydoll and another collectible Angel, and Riley got a really neat Radio Flyer car and 6 foot race track!! Kirk and I got some clothes and a new popcorn popper, which is AWESOME! My mom added in some popcorn and popcorn flavorings!

Gifts from us and Santa finally wrapped up and put out, glass of wine downed, I think it may be bed time!

Merry Christmas to all! I hope your day is filled with love and laughter!

Alli (pup) is all curled up under the tree, trying to remind me that she was the best gift! We have kinda spoiled her, she sleeps in our bed, and goes with us every time she can, and any trip to the grocery leads to treats, my mom even packed her a doggy bag (heh) of pork bones tonight!

So is anyone cooking a big meal for tomorrow? We had dinner at my parents today and then Monday we are going to his mom's so I am just doing a ham and some fresh bread for sandwiches.

Time to give hubby his Christmas dance...a new tradition brought on from Mac's FB Christmas party list :P

I'll check out the video before I try it tomorrow. Also found some recipes.

Tonight was baked ziti, and it hit the spot.

I want some chesnuts now. Tell me how it works out. I can cut, boil, put crap in the oven, and count minutes, so it doesn't look too complex.

Merry Christmas, FAWTLys!

What madness is this? Opening presents on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Morning?

My parents would never have stood for it.

over here on the 24th (Holy Evening) it worked like this when I was a kid:

- 24th Morning: Decorating the Tree with my Dad
- Mum and Grandma came in to critisize our work
- Afternoon: Church
- then: christmas Dinner (usually nothing fancy, the big meals are on the 25th and 26th)
- the Christchild comes during dinner and puts the gifts under the tree, then rings a little silver bell hanging on the tree
- That dinner felt like it would never end and I claimed to have heard the bell a hundret times during dinner .-)
- Dad claimed to have heard the bell and walked up to "look if the Christchild is finished"
- he then rang the bell and I darted up 2 floors in miliseconds
- last stage: profit!

-25th Dad's family came visiting
-26th big meal with mum's family

Merry Christmas everyone!

It took about 20-30 minutes for the kids to open everything and demolish the living room :D

Daddy has finished putting everything together and the kids are rotating what they play with! I <3 this part of the day.

Kellen loves his Lego's set, which I find awesome since he is playing with it over his 8 new video games!

Arden is playing with her new playcenter, and Riley is enjoying his tool bench :D

I got a couple new outfits since I have lost so much weight and nothing fit, and Hubby is listening to his Colin Hay mix CD that I mixed for him on a Professional DJ system :D

I hope everyone else is doing as well as we are!

Lots of Love!

We are planning a nice Christmas dinner, quite unexpectedly. I had entered a raffle at the local grocery store on a whim, and a few days ago I received a call that I had won a five-rib roast! We already had a turkey for Christmas Eve dinner with the wife's 'rents, so this one is a bonus! Nice caveman chunk of meat too, retails normally for $152 dollars! O.o. That's a helluva lot for one dinner, but hay it's FREE! Yay Christmas!

I don't think I had the best chestnuts to begin with, and they probably should have roasted for longer. Still, it felt very festive.

Edit: Naked chestnuts?!
